Chapter 3

Mireli's pov

I awoke to a banging on the door. I was still groggy since it was only 4 in the morning.

As I got up Kaleb was still asleep. The bed was pretty big so he sprawled across his own side of the mattress.

"Room service!" A high pitched voice said on the other side of the door.

"Why is she here so early. Aren't they suppose to wait until the sun is up."

Cami growled as she saw the woman on the other side of the door as a threat to me and Kaleb.

I stayed on guard as I went closer to the door.

"Maybe you should call Ace." Cami growled out.

"No,.. he could still be sleeping. And I don't want to bother him. We literally just met yesterday."

I could feel her rolling her eyes at me.

"Who cares if yall just met. This is for you and Kalebs' safety. And besides the meaning of me asking you to call him is to see if there is room service this early."

"That just seems like a waste of time cam. I can handle this myself." I rubbed my hand down my face in an exhausting manner. Tired of arguing with her.

"Alright,.. But if you use any of your powers he is going to know. There are cameras everywhere."

I chuckled. "He wouldn't do that." I said to myself.

"Just look around and see for yourself." Cami voiced out.

I looked around to see in fact that there were indeed cameras.

I looked at the tv and spotted a red blinking light.

"What in the fu-" I didnt get to finish my sentence as there was another knock on the door. 

"ROOM SERVICE!" The lady said louder as she seemed to be getting impatient.

"Fudge this." I said as I got out my phone and called Ace.

He picked up on the third ring. "Hello." You could tell that he was sleeping from the way his voice was much deeper and huskier from before.

"Ace... I'm sorry for disturbing you."

"No, you're good, but I figured that this is a little too early to be asking for a date." H chuckled

"It's important." I rushed out.

The lady at the door knocked harder. She tried to open the door by jiggling the door knob.

"Does room service come this early?" I quickly asked him.

"What do you mean?"

"Well for starters there is a lady at my door saying she's apart of room service. And she seems pretty agitated to get in."

" What does she look like." He rushed out as I heard ruffling in the background.

"I don't know, I didn't go up to the door to check."

I looked back at Kaleb to see if he was still sleeping.

He layed there spread out like a starfish now that I wasn't there anymore to protect my side from his drool.

The loud knocking on the door went quiet for a second. Then it resonated to full on beating.

"PLEASE,.. open the door.... I only want to help you." She whined.

I backed away from the door. Slowly getting closer to Kaleb. I couldn't do anything right now cause I didn't know how many cameras there were in here. I didn't have time to point out every single one of them.
