In wasteland we see a black dead drew with its branches looking like horns as we see the moon coming to the sun as it creates a solar eclipse as a blast of red energy came and struck the tree as it began to rise and grow as the moon then passes away no longer covering the tree was now a giant black demon as he turns around to show his face was green and his mouth had sharp teeth and had a white nose and had red flames for eyebrows and a red goatee.

Aku: Once again, I am free to smite the world as I did in days long past.
We then went to see in Japan a painting showing the demon Aku bringing fire to a village as the people were running away as soldiers were seen fighting it.
Emperor: When the evil, shape-shifting wizard Aku arose from the bowels of hate to ravage our homeland, I was a young emperor at the time and my friend was only a young general as well and were helpless against his powers. But I remembered our grandfather's grandfather's story of three monks who were gifted with mystical powers.
We then look to see the emperor talking to his son who is a young boy as a man was seen holding a baby boy at a year old as we go to see the next painting showing the emperor and general both going to a mountain as they see three monks meditating on a cloud and went down to see the monks forging two swords.
Emperor: We both rode to the highest peak of the mountainside, where the monks agreed to forge us two enchanted swords with great magic.
The next painting depicted the emperor and general both plunging the swords into Aku as it shows the hill of which revealed Aku trapped in the form of a dead warped tree.
Emperor: Armed with the swords and the hope of my people, we plunged into battle against Aku. His evil was no match for the power of righteousness. And with the sword's magic, Aku's demon forces were implanted into the earth, forever petrifying him into the wasteland that he created. Through years of hard work, we have rebuilt our glorious past with hopes never to encounter such an evil as Aku again.
We then look to see the Emperor and his son walk out of the palace to see the village as everyone was seen living their lives.
Emperor: (To the prince) Always be alert, my son, for the presence of evil is sometimes right behind you.
We see the emperor walk away as we see his son as he plays around with his wooden sword as he was seen inside the palace playing with his toy, we see Aku's shadow rising up behind the prince as he notices the shadow as we see the sky turning from blue to red as the boy sees the shadow and drops his sword. We then see a log swing and hit a bell, ringing it as the emperor and the general were seen with their wives as the general's wife was holding their son as they heard the bell ringing.
Emperor: No, it cannot be.
General: He has returned.
We then look to see them arrive at the room the prince was in as they see the roof was blown up and the smoke clears to reveal Aku.
