Get up
Come on
Why're you scared?
You'll never change
What's been and gone

Cos all of the stars
Are fading away
Just try not to worry
You'll see them some day
Take what you need
And be on your way
And stop crying your heart out

Jacks eyes fluttered open. His breathing became heavier, more independent. He tried to move his fingers, and this time, they actually moved. Then his hand, and slowly he raised his arm.

"Jack?!" Aster cried, leaping from his chair.

"Hey buddy." Jack croaked. His vocal cords a little out of use.

"Bro, you're awake. You're here! Finally!" Aster ran out of the room to call for a nurse. Jack took the time to asses his body. He tried to move the other arm and was successful. He then tried to move legs.

Nothing happened.

He attempted to just wiggle his toes, but they didn't move.

No. No, no, no, no. Panic set into Jacks chest and he began breathing very quickly.

"Bunny!" He cried. His foster brother burst back in, Tooth right behind him. Her training finally over she was a certified nurse.

"Jack, calm down. Look everything's going to be okay..." Tooth said, pushing back Jacks blankets. He felt a tear slip from his eye.

"I can't move my legs." He croaked.

"Jack you have been in an accident. Your legs are not fully responsive yet. You can walk, at a slow pace. With a limp. I'm sorry little brother. You can't ever play football again." Tooth bit her lip and Aster placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'll be back soon. You may have visitors." and with that she left.

"Leave me be." Jack murmured and turned on his side, away from Aster.

"Jack, I'm going to pick up Elsa. I'll be back soon." Jacks heart leapt at the mention of her name. The thought of seeing her again, alive and well made him feel happier inside, but it was short lived.

---

10 minutes later, Elsa walked through the door. Jack didn't turn to look at her.

"Jack..." She murmured. He heard her bags drop. "Jack please. Look at me." He turned, slowly. He looked at her, and felt his heart break a little. It had been so long. Her hair was flat and limp, she had a pale complexion and looked as though she hadn't eaten in days. Her eyes though, shone blue.

"Elsa..." He whispered and she knelt beside him.

"Hey baby." She smiled and a tear fell onto the bed from her eyes. "It's been a while."

"Elsa I can't walk." Jack cried.

"Yes, you can! You are able bodied. I have a staff for you, your foster father North gave it to me to give to you." Elsa said running her thumb across his cheek softly.

"No Elsa I can't. There's no point anymore." Jack snapped.

"Won't you just try?" Elsa pleaded.

"No, Elsa for gods sake. Its not worth it!" Jack was close to yelling.

"Jack, you've changed. I'm here now, I've been here while you were in a coma. Please Jack try and see the good. It's your first time being awake in a while, don't fight with me now." Elsas voice cracked and tears fell and ran down her pale cheeks. Jack hated seeing her upset and slowly sat up to hug her.

"I love you. Don't ever doubt that." Jack murmured into her hair and she clung to him.

--

Hours later, Jack was ready to leave. His hair was no longer a mess, his clothes were neat and ironed and he had a staff to lean on.

"Are you ready?" Elsa asked, holding his arm. Jack nodded and kissed her cheek.

"Let's go." He said and leant more on the crooked staff. It was covered in old runes and with Jacks icy touch, frost swirled around it.

The car journey was silent. No one spoke. Aster drove the black Range Rover, Anna in the seat next to him, Elsa and Jack were in the back.

"Everyone's looking forward to seeing you." Elsa smiled meekly. Jack raised his eyebrows in acknowledgement. Sighing, Elsa looked back out of the window. Well what had she hoped? It was all going to go back to normal? Jack was traumatised that he couldn't walk properly. He could stumble a long a bit before stopping to take a breather. His football career might as well have been burned before his eyes. It's nothing to do with me. He loves me... right? Elsa thought sadly. She reached her hand over and went to take Jacks hand, however he pulled it back. Hurt, Elsa bit her lip.

yeah of course it's nothing. A wicked voice in her mind mocked her. She just shook her head.

Back at home, everyone piled into Jacks house. There was a small gathering of the Big Five, plus Anna and her best friend Kristoff.

"Jack, we've missed you so much!" Punz squealed happily. Jack gave her a weak smile.

"Thanks." He replied, in a dead tone. Rapunzel gave Elsa a worried look, which Elsa responded to with a raise of the eyebrows.

"You alright man?" Hiccup grinned.

"Sure." Jack muttered and shrugged Hiccup off. Elsa watched as he pushed past North and Aster to get to his room. Once he was out of ear shot, everyone rounded on Elsa.

"What's wrong with him?" Asked Punz.

"Why is he so moody?" Hiccup asked quickly.

"Is he depressed?" Merida also spoke up.

"I DONT KNOW!" Elsa cried and sprinted from the house. Tears falling from her eyes.
