I go grab our bags as Officer Hanson leaves to get our shop ready. I'm excited to get to know my new TO as he seems like a friendly person.
I walk towards our shop with I smile on my face getting more and more exited by the second!
Officer Hanson: Okay so what do you wanna talk about?
Y/n: I don't know..
Nvm this couldn't be anymore awkward.. "what do you wanna talk about" that seriously made it awkward I can't take it..
A few minutes into our day and we have not talked about anything well except some people over the speed limit and people running stop signs.
This is even more awkward than Sargent grey.. I have to start a normal conversation.
Y/n: So you have any kids?
Great job y/n I asked a personal question what the hell is wrong with me!?
Officer Hanson: no but I just got married!
Y/n: Congratulations!
Officer Hanson: Yeah he's amazing!
Oh he's not straight! Well it's good to know tho. But isn't he a little young to be married.. ah who am I to judge?
Y/n: I wish I was married but I'm maybe too young..
Officer Hanson: yeah you're twenty right?
Y/n: yeah, and I haven't even had a girlfriend or boyfriend yet.. it's sad
Officer Hanson: Nah, you ll meet the one someday!
Y/n: Yeah I guess, how did you and your husband meet?
Officer Hanson: Through a coffee shop!
Y/n: that sounds so cute!
Officer Hanson: Yeah it was! He was a waitress and spilled some coffee on me and we hit it off!
Y/n: I have to meet him one day!
Officer Hanson: I'm sure you ll!
Great job y/n! I started a not awkward situation!
Y/n: Well we have to follow up on yesterday's case!
Officer Hanson: Yeah, Right! Let's get back to the station and see if we can get any more information!
Y/n: yeah!
You drive back to the station and you try to find the detective from yesterday
Sargent grey: Can I help you?
Y/n: uh yeah we are looking for the detective from yesterday.. uhh Detective Lopez?
Detective Lopez: Yeah?
I turn around to see the detective from yesterday walk behind me
Officer Hanson: Are you the detective for the murdered mom?
Detective Lopez: Yes I was looking for you guys actually!
Y/n: Why?
Detective Lopez: they found the dad. He was at his friend's house. We've brought him in for questioning!
Officer Hanson: Well that's good then!
Detective Lopez: Well yeah but he's not saying much? He's asked for a lawyer which he is getting.
Y/n: Has he said anything useful?
Detective Lopez: Not really.
Officer Hanson: Well thank you for the information!
Y/n: well do you think he did it?
Officer Lopez: What I think is not important right now.
