It was Tuesday morning, when the postman put an envelope through the mailbox. Lavina's little sister rushed to the door to see for who the letter was. Félicie, Lavina's little sister yelled Lavina's name.

I yelled back "What!" Félicie screamed back "There's a letter for you" I went out of my bed to the living room, I gripped the letter out of Félicie's hands. " What does it say?" My little sister asked, "How in the world would I know if I haven't even open the envelope?" "Sorry" Félicie whispered. I opened the letter when my mom came out of her room, "From who is it?" She asked. "I don't know seems from the Royal House" My mom and little sister gasped. I read the letter and I was in shock. And I gave it to my mom, I got tears in my eyes.
Dear Lavina Kanata Blaise,
Since you turned 19 recently, you are required to join the Royal Army of Eladon.
Since we are in war with Veladon.
When you read this letter, you will have one day left with your family.
The Royal House of Ecrela
My Mom was crying, I was crying and my little sister was confused. When my mom gave the letter to Félicie, she said "No! No- not again, please" I went to my mom to hug her and meanwhile Félicie read the letter and was also crying, she joined our hug. A second later my dad came home, he saw us "What happened" he asked, Félicie gave the letter. Soon also my dad got tears in his eyes what was abnormal. He never cried, not even when my older brothers went to war. We were poor so we had to go to war, we couldn't buy ourselves out of it.
The next day a soldier knocked on our door and my dad opened "I'm here for Lavina Kanata Blaise", the soldier said. I came out of my room "That's me" I said and the soldier replied with "Hello Lavina I'm Elias, Elias Moreau, I hope you read the letter?" I responded with "Yeah", "That's great if you have any bags you can give them to me and you can say you're goodbyes to your family" I went back to my room and grabbed my bag to give it to Elias, he went away probably to put the bag in the car, "Bye I'll miss you" I said while giving everyone individually a hug. "We will miss you even more" my dad said. Elias came back and said we had to go. I gave one more hug to Félicie and I followed Elias to a car. "Don't worry, everything will be fine" Elias said I gave a little smile, I opened the door and went to sit in the back.
