A little while ago now, the Dracula family had a visit from their uncle Ivan – or Harvey as he'd asked to be called, until he got a wiff of Slayer's blood and backpedalled from his vegan blood diet – and their cousins Olga and Boris.

Olga and Ingrid almost immediately had a rivalry while Vlad and Maize did their best to aid Boris, who was going to be turning sixteen soon and would be coming into his full Vampiric powers.

Boris' transformation was a big part of the reason he and his family came to visit since The Count had the Blood Mirror, which was a vital object needed in order to become a fully fledged Vampire.

The poor boy was terrified, so Maize and Vlad used it as an opportunity to, not only help Boris, but also figure out if there was a way around becoming a Vampire.

Unfortunely, they were unsuccessful and soon enough, Boris did become a fully fledge Vampire. And a couple of things happened, to say the least.

First off, it was like a switch had flicked inside him and he became a completely different person.

He ditched his glasses, he no longer needed his inhaler, his confidence had grown tremendously, and he seemed to be embracing the whole Vampire aesthetic, cape and all. He also hypnotised Robin into becoming his personal slave so that he wouldn't try to tell Vlad that he was fooling him into believing he wasn't really evil and – just to top it all off – he stole a bunch of power from the Blood Mirror, consequently nearly draining both Ivan and The Count dry of all their own Vampiric powers.

Not to mention the little crush he had on Maize seemed to have grown as well and he acted more boldly on his affections. For whatever reason though, he chose to be much more subtle when Vlad was in the room with them.

Maize wasn't used to someone showing so much interest in her and couldn't help feeling a little flustered by his actions towards her. Her instincts were also screaming at her that he was up to no good, which eventually lead her to purposely distancing herself from the newly awakened Vampire and sticking as close to Vlad as she could whenever the two were in the room with him.

Vlad was a little concerned with the way she was acting but she told him she was fine, so he chose to believe her.

It wasn't long after Vlad had tricked Boris into giving The Count and Ivan back their powers that Ivan, Olga and a restrained Boris all left the castle to head back home and Maize couldn't help the quiet sigh of relief she released at the knowledge.

She didn't hate the family by any means, but Boris had made her a little uncomfortable with his advances on her after he'd awakened.

It wasn't until after his cousins and uncle had left that Maize told Vlad what was bothering her and youngest Dracula couldn't help the jealous feeling that ran through him knowing his cousin was flirting with his Mate behind his back.

Another person to visit – or rather revisit – the castle was Magda. A heavily pregnant Magda, at that.

This of course stirred up a bit of trouble for the Vampire family as The Count seemed to immediately favour the unborn offspring – of whom Magda insisted was his – over both of his current children and was even prepared to rename Vlad Barry in favour of naming the new baby Valdimir instead.

That is, until the baby turned into a puppy under the full moon's light and The Count realised the child was not his after all. Then it became a game of 'Keep-The-Baby-Away-From-the-Murderous-Count-Dracula', until they were eventually able to send it away with a reluctant Magda.

On another note, Vlad found out he could shoot a fire ball from his hand, so that was a fun discovery for him.

Anyway, Valentine's Day was the next big event to occur and a Ball was held at the castle to celebrate. Even Ingrid found herself a date with a cute boy that she was very much in denial about crushing on, mainly due to the fact he was a Breather. Unfortunately, the event was cut short after her awakening powers caused a little havoc and scared everyone away right as things seemed to be going well for them, naturally resulting in a mini tantrum from the young Vampiress as she flipped a table full of food over in frustration.
