"Haahaa..." He breathed heavily, yet trying to keep the sound down while doing it.
His mansion was quiet, as if all sound but his was stolen.
And yet a few footsteps descending stairs out, as if not caring at all.
His heart beated faster, he forced his breathing to stop.
He hid behind a pillar in the first floor, facing the front door.
He was so close, he just had to not be noticed.
"How boring... I seem like a completely normal human, why aren't you fighting back?" The voice sounded out with exasperation.
That's exactly why! He wanted to shout. You teleported into my room, how are you normal?!
His father warned him about the supernatural, things that shouldn't exist but do, and that was why he was so scared.
Was it the MC&D?
No, I already made the debt payments!
His mind flashed with all the people he ever offended or owed something too.
The footsteps continued walking, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"Come on... all I want is to talk to you. Maybe... discuss a bit of business?" The monocled man -who, admittedly, had a nice car- spoke out to coerce him.
The monocled man walked to the kitchen, glancing behind the stairs while doing so.
He maneuvered around the pillar, avoiding the man's sight.
He slightly peaked out, breathing a silent relief as the man walked away.
He readied himself to run...
And dashe-
"Boo!"
He forgot how to run. He... he didn't know how to.
He collapsed on the floor.
The monocled man seemingly teleported infront of him, like he had done upstairs in his room.
So he screamed, what else could he do?
His scream upbruptly stopped.
Two people rushed in, having heard the scream.
"Are you alright?" One of them asked.
Only the monocled man stood there, clutching his heart.
"Ye-yes." He told them, obviously feigning healthiness.
"I see..." The other one responded.
They were somewhat suspicious, but they didn't care that much about their boss.
They both walked out, one of them shouting as they did.
"The new car looks nice by the way!"
They closed the door behind them as they did.
"What a pity... I didn't get his memories, so I don't know what school his child goes to." N.C. muttered, walking upstairs to His room. As He did, His butler walking out of the kitchen followed Him, monocle on His face.
...
A limousine was driving through the rode.
"The master won't be too mad at you for skipping class, but he might punish you a little." Her butler told her, nudging his black framed monocle to fix it.
"Relax, he loves me." The teenage girl said to the man who had raised her.
She wanted to slightly tease the Alfred wannabe, but ultimately decided against it.
