So much space fuckery.

So many different colours.

So many things He could do from a loophole.

So many places He could go.

But it was directing Him to one place, it seemed to be the biggest there.

He couldn't see, but He did know that there were so many Ways in that place.

And He could redirect His location to any of them.

No.

He didn't know what would happen if He did, they knew Ancient Hermes, so whose to say they didn't have a way to deal with people who could interfere with Ways.

The space fuckery stopped, and His body adjusted by instinctively sending out Worms of Time before pulling Them back in.

A red light entered His eyes immediately.

Something was staring at Him intensely, watching His every move.

No, somethings.

Someones? Eh.

He looked up from the suprisingly solid wooden ground at the mouthless face of a... Person, I guess?

One of that person's hands was a lantern, emitting that red light.

Eventually, letters were spelled out from the light.

"No harm is to be done to the library or it's patrons."

The person began to walk away, leaving Him confused in the dark room with few lights.

He noticed the three other people who were staring at Him, someone with a red sash on their shoulder seemed the most willing to intervene. Basically, the most easy to manipulate.

Oh yeah, most of them weren't human.

One had a humanoid plant-ish body, they were emitting a yellow light, the only light. Another was small, wearing a worn down coat revealing a cat's face. The only human one was the person with that red sash.

The plant was sitting down, roots reaching out for books from the shelf and putting it back once they saw the title, the only light was from its brown roots.

The cat was to be watching Him closely, vigilantly, holding a book titled "Various feline governed worlds."

The human started slowly walking towards Him, a forced smile on their face.

They said something He didn't understand, but he easily understood their intentions.

"Net mu leek mihary...?" Welcome to the library...?

They were guessing that He was new, this Way wasn't used by a lot of people, so it was easy to remember those who did.

He responded in the tongue-twisting language of Ancient Hermes, He was going to exclusively use that for the entire time he was there to probe for people who knew it.

"Hello there." General kenobi, you are a bold one.

The roots seemed to stop for a moment when He said that, but they were too focused on Him to notice that.

The human who He identified as a female nervously smiled before looking towards the plant person.

The plant person looked her, certain parts of their throat being pushed from the inside.

They opened what He thought was a mouth, a few pieces of the grass-like substance still clinging to both parts of their mouth.

"GREET.ING." They said it in the same language she did, with every syllable being after a brief silence and in a different tone.
