It was the next day, and both Kiki and Gary woke up and got read. Kiki changed in the bathroom, and Gary got ready in the room. They when went down for breakfast. They then trained a bit, and Kiki trained Raichu to learn discharge and Psyshock. She also had Azurill learn Sing and Aqua Jet.

Gary had his Pokemon train as well. They worked on speed and attack speed. The two then let their Pokémon play after some training. Kiki made some Pokémon food for them to eat. They had some sandwiches that Gary got at a store.

They went back inside the Pokémon Center to get out of the sun. They met the girl at the lake yesterday. Her name was Misty, and they grew close, and their talk got interrupted by Team Rocket, who tried to steal the Pokémon at the Center. Kiki, Gary, and Misty stopped them and blasted them off.

They felt bad for the Pokémon Center's roof. Nurse Joy told them that she had lot's of people who would donate to help rebuild and that she was so happy that they saved the Pokémon Center and the Pokémon there.

Kiki and Gary agreed to let Misty travel with them when she asked. They headed out and into the forest of bugs.

It was soon that they realized that Misty was scared of Bug-types. Kiki was able to calm Misty down, and as long as she doesn't show that she is a danger, then the Pokémon won't attack.

It was here that Kiki caught a Caterpie and a Wurmple. Misty wasn't as scared of them when she learned that they were peaceful Pokémon and they would also evolve into butterfly Pokémon.

They stayed to train, and It didn't take long before Kiki had a male Butterfree and a female Beautifly. Kiki was excited to have the two because they were strong and could learn a lot of good moves.

They soon came across a boy called Samurai that battles Gary, and they were able to work together to stop Team Rocket from stealing their Pokémon.

They then headed off to Pewter City. They were at a small Clift that looked over the city, and there they met a man who is selling rocks. Kiki saw that these Rocks had gems in some of them, and she got a few. She told her friends about this and they were surprised, but they believed Kiki.

They stopped at the Pokémon Center, and Nurse Joy healed their Pokémon. Kiki and Gary called their families to let them know where they were, and Delia was glad that her daughter had a female friend and that she got more Pokemon.

They went to the gym, where Gary challenged Brock, the gym leader. Kiki and Misty went to the stands to watch. Raichu smiled as she watched with her paws on the bar of the stands.

"Do your best, Gary!" Called Kiki.

"Show off the power of Water Pokémon." Misty called. Kiki and Raichu sweat dropped at Misty's firery addatud.

Garry used Slowbro first, who was fast, and his attack speed was fast. Slowbro took out Geodude with Rain Dance and Water Gun.

Next was Psyduck, who took out Onix with Disable, Water Gun, and Water Pluse. Brock happily told Gary he earned the Boulder Badge. It Kiki had rushed over and tackled hugged Gary, who blushed. Brock smiled at this and thought, 'Young love.'

Misty smiled at her friends and giggled at Gary's red face. The four went to the Pokémon Center and had Brock's Pokémon healed. They talked as they waited, and Brock badly wanted to travel with them. He felt that they were the people he was looking for.

When Brock got his Pokémon back, he headed back to the gym. Kiki felt bad that Brock could advance in his dream of being a Pokémon breeder.

They were getting somethings they needed, and they saw the man who was selling the rocks needed help with Team Rocket and plaster them off. Kiki was mad that they were always trying to take Raichu and other people's Pokémon.

The three were ready to leave the city when they saw Brock running up to them. He wanted to go with them and learn more with them. Kiki was happy to have him, and so was Gary. Misty wasn't so sure, but let him come with.

The group of four came to a stop for the night, and Kiki let her Pokémon out. Brock was impressed that her Pokémon all looked healthy. Kiki told him that she knew all that she knew from Prof. Oak.

They trIned for a bit after they ate. Then they let the Pokémon play while they had daylight left. Misty and Gary were fighting over where to go next, and Kiki realized why Misty didn't want to go to the water gym. Kiki went up and pushed them away from each other.

"Leave Gary alone. We will go to the water gym next. After all, it's the closest gym." Said Kiki and Gary sighed but nodded just glad they were going where he wanted to go next.

"Misty, I know why you don't want to go, but you should have thought of that before you joined up with us. You need to face them, or you can't expect people to take you seriously if you keep running away from your problems. This is Gary's choice, not yours." Said Kiki sturnly, but gently.

"Kiki's right, Misty. You should have thought of this before you joined up and accepted it, or you should have just not joined." Said Brock.

Misty sighed. They were right. She should have thought this through more. She just wanted to make friends. She didn't realize that she would be going back home so soon.

They went to bed a bit later. They had returned their Pokémon besides Raichu. Kiki and Misty were in one tent, and Gary and Brock were in the other.
