Sollel raced towards the back of the palace. The clashing of swords and screams could be heard in the background and this only boosted her adrenaline. After a few minutes of running, she came across a large building that looked like it could fall apart any moment.
She rushed in and was met with an empty room. A very large empty room. she looked around and stopped when she saw the carving of the sun on the wall. she looked closely and she could see a bunch of numbers.
"It seems like some sort of code..." she said mumbling to herself as she traced her fingers across the numbers next to the sun. she was jolted out of her mini trance when he heard a scream.
She typed in some random numbers and the rock shook but nothing happened. just then she remembered her tattoo had numbers on it, so she typed in the numbers and to her utmost surprise, the rock creaked open revealing a star shaped gem glowing the brightest shade of red. she felt something surge through her as she picked the star up.
She was still observing the star when she heard a loud scream that pierced through her soul. panic coursed through her and with the star firmly placed in her hand, she raced towards the battlefield where she heard another scream that sounded like it came from pubry.
She came to an abrupt halt as she saw pubry cradling the lifeless body of kai.

All coursed through sollels veins. pain she had never felt before causing her to let out a loud scream and fall to her knees in despair.
the star in her hand fell out of her hand but it didn't reach the ground, instead it floated up and in one swift motion it went into her straight through her heart causing her to let out a gut wrenching scream and causing a blast of energy to spread out everywhere.
In an instant there was pin drop silence and it was as if everything gained life. the trees got greener and the sky got brighter. after the light went down, sollel fell wit thud to her knees, her hair glowing a fiery red as well as her eyes.
Due to the impact of the surge, all the wraiths were down to their knees, including the leader of the wraiths. His body trembled as he felt the power. The power once possessed by Queen Sollel Vani.
Sollel got up from her kneeling state ignoring the look of shock on pubry and Ezekiel's faces, and the look of awe from the faces of the rogues and wraiths, she walked shakily but steadily towards kai's body.
Kneeling down next to him, she traced his cold features with her index finger, and that's when all hell broke loose. she started crying. she couldn't remember the last time she cried, but she cried uncontrollably, tears streaming down her face, the weather as if sensing her grief, changed abruptly and it started raining heavily.
"Sol. we should go.."
"And leave Kai here?" Sollel said turning toward Pubry who looked down due to the intensity of sollels burning red eyes and hair that stood out even in the rain.
"He..He's He's dead..."
"Nooooooo!, He's not dead don't say that!" Sollel said screaming and crying into Kai's chest.
"He doesn't deserve this" Sollel started "He never asked for me to be his mate, he never complained, he never demanded, and yet he's... he's... oh kai, please come back, please, dont do this to me, please.."
she sat there crying and the rain slowly subsided buut her sobs didnt.
after a few hours, zuma had taken both the warriors and the rogues to the infirmary, and had arranged for the deceased bodies to be taken care of. The field was empty save for Sollel still cradling kais body and Pubry sitting at a safe distance watching. Ezekiel haad gone to handle some issues going on.
"Sol his body will soon decompose, you need to let go"
"But he's not dead.."Sollel said looking up to pubry and the fire in her eyes seemed to dim every hour.
Just then Dorchas walks in with a smile.
"Finally i can rest in peace"
"What do you mean?"
"I have explained the reckoning. the cure. the star was just an instrument but the real saiou was you. and now i don't have to reincarnate anymore"
"Is it all worth it though? kai's dead"
"So you think he's dead?" Dorchas says with a smile
Sollel perked up and sat upright
"No. no i don't"
"You do know you're a god now?"
"what?"
"The star! made you fully immortal!!"
"Can i give half...no..all my life to kai?" Sollel asked enthusiastically
"Sollel! Pubry warned shaking her head.
"Calm down princess. you cant give him your life but you can restore him back. but here's the catch. you'll no longer be a god or a demigod."
"To hell with that. how an i revive him?!"
Dorchas held sollels hand and kais limp cold hand.
"With the fragrance of flames.."
Sollel looked confused but at that moment, she felt a surge in her.
"You feel something. that's your flame. command it to do your will"
Sollel nodded and closed her eyes and at that instant her hair started floating and glowing red and cloud picked up.
Red light surged through her to the tip of her fingers.
"I Sollel Rani Gayatri of Tretta kingdom, daughter of Sollel Vani, mother of flame, will this flame to heal my mate. Bring back what once was mine." she said in a monotone voice and in one moment lights exploded and she fell down.
silence....
Few minutes later, the silence was broken by a cough.
"What on earth.........."
"Kai? Kai!!!!!!!!!!!!" Sollel screamed jumping on Kai and connecting her lips with his in a sentimental kiss. Kai froze taken aback but in a few seconds regained himself and wrapped one hand around her waist and the other in her hair and he kissed her back with as much intensity.
