It was almost dawn and he hadn't blinked. Seokjin had been up all night, tirelessly searching for ways to locate his sister. Despite extensive interrogation, David had failed to provide the desired information, resulting in his execution at Seokjin's hands. Determined, he led his men into the woods, seeking clues to reveal his sister's whereabouts. He also retrieved all nearby CCTV footage, hoping for a breakthrough.
Though he was relieved that Soah had managed to evade and hide from David's men, he was deeply troubled by the mystery of her disappearance. The thought of the dangers his little sister might face consumed him, refusing to leave his mind.
In his study, swirling the glass of scotch in his hand, he fixated on the vintage wall clock. His eyes brimmed with tears, a mix of guilt and concern clouding his gaze. Each tick-tock of the clock seemed to amplify the tension within him for not having a single sign of Soah's whereabouts. Unable to bear it any longer, he closed his eyes tightly and succumbed to his helplessness, tears streaming down his face.
That's when the door opened. Mr. Yang, the head of security and Seokjin's most trusted ally, staggered in, miserably injured from his efforts to save Soah during her abduction. At the same time, many of Seokjin's other men had lost their lives in the ordeal.
"Young master, we have found tracks of two SUVs near the river bridge," Mr. Yang reported, instantly capturing Seokjin's attention. Seokjin stood up from his chair, his voice sharp with urgency.
"Find them. Get me the car owner's details," he commanded, pacing around the table.
"We could not retrieve the highway CCTV footage. They were already deleted before we could get them. I am sorry, young master," Yang informed him, revealing yet another setback in the search for his missing sister.
At this, Seokjin snapped. He hurled the glass to the floor in a fit of rage, the shattering sound echoing through the room, followed swiftly by the crash of the bottle of alcohol.
"What the hell do you mean, Hyung? Do you know how many hours it has been since my sister went missing? Fu**ing Thirty-two hours. And I have no idea whether she is dead or alive," he screamed, his voice raw with anguish.
Overwhelmed by despair, Seokjin collapsed to his knees. Yang was hired by Seokjin's grandfather and having served the Kim family for ten years, had never seen Seokjin in such a state. For the first time, he witnessed the young master of the Kim family in his extremely vulnerable state after losing his most prized possession.
Yang rushed to Seokjin's side, helping him to his feet and attempting to console him.
"You have to compose yourself, young master. We can't find your sister if you lose hope," he urged his voice steady but filled with concern. As he tried to steady Seokjin, another guard burst in, breathless.
