It was supposed to be a game, a fun one with no harm or foul. That quickly changed the second a twig snapped to his left. Months of animosity and pent up hurt came bubbling to the surface the second he smelt the faintest aroma of your perfume.

The rules were simple: Run, hide, don't get captured by the opposing team.

It was supposed to be a "bonding experience" as price had stated. Something to get the team kicked into motion and give just enough leeway that whatever tension was lingering in the air could dissipate into plain exertion.

You knew it wouldn't end well. That's why you tried to play hookie, hiding in your room until soap came in and basically drug you to the lining of trees. "It'll be fun lass. When was the last time any of us got to do something like this together?" He laughed, causing a puff of grey air to form in-front of his face due to the dropping temperature.

It was supposed to be fun. If it was anyone else, that is.

But you knew what you did when you came back, you saw the storm fighting in molten chocolate behind a familiar balaclava the second you stepped into the common room.

You misplaced another footstep and silently cursed yourself for the mishap. If your mind wasn't so clouded by the wolf hunting you then it'd be easy to win hands down.

Actions had repercussions one way or another. Yours came in a 6'2 Lieutenant destined to make you pay for the heart you stole and took with you like a thief in the night.

Ghost watched for a moment as a wisp of your hair disappeared behind a trunk. "Run all you want love, I told you.. no matter what I'd always find you. Didn't I?" Slow deliberate steps on soft moss masked any sound that could give you an idea of where he was lurking.

"Unlike you I keep my promises." He continued, not willing to elaborate on how Price had found your location. Unwilling to explain how much effort he had to put in to make sure the transfer papers were pushed through and you were back where you were always supposed to be.

The air went still, not even a cricket dared to sing its tune as he felt the familiar warmth hiding behind the tree.

You knew better than to run. He'd always catch up, maybe if you stood still enough he'd think you'd moved to another area.

The high pitched yelp a few yard off made your breath hitch.

"Motherf-cker, I almost outran you!" Even through the thick lining of greenery you could make out Gazs voice.

Price was judging which meant that left the winning movements between you and ghost since soap succeeded in his chase, hunt. Whatever you wanted to call it at this point.

The once still breeze now felt suffocating, awareness crawled against your skin when an unnerving heat radiated from a spot you couldn't see.

"That leaves you and me baby. Tell me, are you gonna do best and run? Am I gonna have a chase tonight or.." his words trailed off sending cascading echos off each tree surrounding, each one making your head jolt in the direction hopeful to catch at least a glimpse of the man speaking.

To prepare for what could come if you were caught.

Just like a callsign, he was a ghost. One that haunted your past. One you could never move on from even when you tried.

He was right, he always kept his promises.

"I found you." His hot breath fanned against the nape of your neck making blood rush to the top of your skin heating every cell that ran fast. A malicious smirk curled under his balaclava from the way your eyes widened the second you turned you head to catch glimpse of him.
