We got discharged two days after Riley was born. Randy took the bags to the car first and pulled the car up to the door before coming back and getting me and the baby. He took Riley and a nurse pushed me to the door. I took photo's of Randy walking with the baby out of the hospital. In the few short days that we had started the journey of parenthood he has become the best dad and husband. He placed Riley in the car first before coming back and helping me in the car. When he got me in the car, he closed the door softly.
He walked around and got in to the car and looked over at me.
"You did it momma, I knew you could." He said smiling
"Not with out you, Daddy, you helped more than I could of imagined. You are absolutely amazing." I said squeezing his hand
He placed his hand on my thigh and started driving home. He helped me in the house while he had Riley's car seat in the other hand. He got me settled in to the couch and pulled the bassinet out in to the living room. He placed Riley on my chest, Riley continued to sleep. He sat down next to me on the couch and placed my feet on his lap. He put on a show and started massaging my feet.
"I love you, Ran and I love this sweet baby, Riley, We did good baby." I said smiling at him
"I love you and him with everything in my body, there is nothing in the world I want more than to be with you all the time. You did amazing baby, You deserve all the foot rubs" He said with a small chuckle.
I took the photo of Randy walking out of the hospital and posted it on social media with the caption:
'Riley Keith Orton, Our baby boy'
Randy was off for another six weeks and he has physical therapy so hopefully by the time the six weeks was up he would be medically clear to wrestle, if not he would still have to go on the road. As the time grew closer to him going back on the road, we sat down and talked about what we were going to do.
"Hey, baby, I know that I go back to work next week and I wanted to know what all you needed before I left, I wish you could come with me but I don't want you to be pressured in to pick it all up and Riley moving from place to place." He said sitting down on the couch
"Ran, I want to be with you, after everything that we have been through, I need to be with you right now. I don't want to have to take care of Riley alone but I know that you have to go back to work, so I want to go with you. Riley doesn't care about all the different places, he just wants to be with him mom and dad." I said with a smile
"If that's what you want, Sweet pea but don't feel pressured to come with me, if you don't want to." he said
"Ran, I promise, I want to be with you and I want Riley to be with you." I said
I started packing up as much as possible and tripled checked all of Riley's bag to make sure we had everything we would need for him. Randy helped me pack the bags and even double checked the bags as well making sure we had everything. I zipped up one bag and went to the next bag, hearing Randy unzip the bag that I had just finished.
"What you don't trust that I have everything?" I said laughing
"Of course not, just making sure." He said chuckling
The day we were suppose to head out, I was making sure we had all the bags. We had our stuff, Riley's stuff as well as Apex's stuff. I went to help Randy load everything in the car and he told me to just get Riley into the car and that he would worry about everything else. I rolled my eyes at him and told him I was a big girl and I could do things. I got Riley's car seat locked in to the back seat and sat in the front waiting on Randy to get done putting the bags in the car.
The airport process was a little bit longer due to everything we had for Riley. We had to pay extra because of all the stuff that we had. We took Riley and put him in the seat between us. Apex laid on the floor below, she always was by Riley's side and was very protective of him. We got their and settled in to the dressing room. Before the show, Randy went to medical to see if they had cleared him for wrestling. He came back in the room looking sad, I figured that they had told him he wasn't cleared to wrestle.
"Aweee, baby did they say no?" I asked
He quickly pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket that had his cleared status on it.
"Cleared and ready to beat some ass." he said smiling coming up to me, giving me a kiss.
I cheered as softly as I could without waking the baby up. I sat back in the locker room and watched from the monitor as Randy's music played. The crowd went crazy, they were for sure excited to see him back, he cut a promo before his match and then went on to win his match. He ate all the attention up and you could see he was happy to be back in the ring and they were so happy that he was back and he was having some fun. He came back to the dressing room and I made sure that his arm felt okay and congratulated him on his big win.
Right after the show went off, me and Randy decided to go out and speak to as many fans as we could and of course show off our little boy. We had brought headphones to put over his ears so the sound of the crowd didn't rupture his eardrums or disturb him. We shook many peoples hands and took thousands of photos. There was many fans telling me that I was brave and strong and that we had been through so much together, we were the cutest and strongest couple that they knew. It was sweet and nice and so supportive. They loved Riley so much and he was barely two months old.
