It was a weekend today so after meeting Seongji I showered and got dressed again to head out. As I got closer I saw that Vinjin was apologizing to everyone and it was funny how Seongji just asked him to taste the Kimchi.
"You have a unique way of saying sorry, Vinijn," I said with a teasing smile
"Shut it I wasn't apologizing to you," he said annoyed as usual but I continued to smile. Suddenly I noticed a girl behind him...Kim Sujin.
"That's not how you make Kimchi," she said while making Kimchi with Seongji.
"Uh, who is she?" I asked while Seongji fed me some Kimchi to taste. Then Vinjin told us how she was a maid and ran away to save her life. I could remember something about her but very vaguely. After some discussion, it was decided that she would live in Vinjin's house. But Vinjin asked Seongji to train him. But then seongji turned to look at me.
"You want to train?" he asked
"Yeah sure" I replied to him being confident in my military training
After that, he went inside his hut but I heard a loud thud before I left. I knew he was having a PTSD attack. I knocked on his door calling out to him.
" I am fine so stay right there. Keep your distance. Don't come here" he said from the other side. I sighed, went to a large rock placed on a cliff, and sat there. After a few hours, it was evening and I heard footsteps behind me.
"You are alright now?" I asked without turning back
"Yes" I heard Seongji's voice behind me
"What are you still doing here?" he asked while sitting beside me
" How do you always find me?" I asked
" I just do but you didn't answer my question," he said
"Just feeling exhausted that's all," I said with a heavy sigh
"Why? What happened?" he asked looking at me
"It's complicated Mister," I said
"You can tell me," he said looking ahead
"Aren't you tired?" I said with a serious voice
" Of what?" he asked
" Pretending to be so strong in front of others," I said while looking down
"I have no other option...Tsukiko" he said
"Then lean on my shoulder when you feel vulnerable," I said looking at him. He didn't reply and just got up to leave.
"Wait-" Before I could finish a hand came in my direction with immense speed. I closed my eyes thinking I would get hit but I felt an affectionate pat on my head and saw him walking away. I felt my cheeks being a bit warm and walked to my home.
