Tsukiko's POV

I woke up early in the morning, feeling a pang of guilt as memories of Seongji came flooding into my mind. But I pushed them aside and got ready for school.

Classes that day were typical and uneventful, filled with lectures and assignments. I sat silently in class, barely paying attention to the teacher's words, lost in thought. During lunch, I ate quietly with Hyori, Daniel, and Jay not really being overly talkative.

The school day passed in a blur, and before I knew it, the end of the day had arrived. As I gathered my things and prepared to head home, I couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness and guilt. I knew I was keeping a secret from my close friend Mary, and it was weighing heavily on my mind.

Despite the heavy feeling in my heart, I tried to put on a cheerful facade and said goodbye to Hyori, who was eagerly anticipating the school festival. As I walked home, my mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Mr. Seongji and the guilt that I felt for not telling Mary the truth.

That evening, I spent some time studying, but my mind kept wandering back to the upcoming school festival. I wasn't particularly excited about it, but I knew that Hyori would be eager to attend, so I resigned myself to going along with her.

I went to bed early that night, tossing and turning as I tried to push my guilty thoughts and anxiety about the festival to the back of my mind. I knew it was going to be a long night, and I hoped that I could sleep and forget about my worries at least for a few hours.

The next day, the school festival finally began, and the entire school was bustling with activity. Brightly colored decorations adorned the hallways, and excited students were hurrying to set up various stalls and games for the event.

Despite my initial reluctance to join in the festival activities, the lively atmosphere was infectious, and I couldn't help but be swayed by the excitement in the air. I made my way to the main event hall, where Hyori was already waiting for me.

"C'mon, let's go check out the stalls!" Hyori said, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the rows of different stalls.

As Hyori and I browsed the different stalls, we came across a wide variety of activities and attractions. One particular stall caught my attention, the baking booth, which was adorned with colorful decorations and displayed a variety of delectable-looking pastries.

We then came upon a runway setup for a fashion show, where students were modeling the latest fashion trends. The models strutted their stuff with confidence and grace, and the audience clapped and cheered for their favorites.

Further down the hall, we found a charity date auction, where students were bidding on the chance to go on a date with various students. I watched as some students bid quite a bit of money for their chances with their crushes.

As we watched the dating auction, I noticed that Daniel was one of the students being auctioned off. He stood there, looking a bit uncomfortable as students called out bids for the chance to go on a date with him.

When the bidding reached a high of 5000 dollars, I saw an attractive girl, who I recognized as Crystal, win the bid. I noticed that Daniel seemed a bit surprised and unsure of what to make of the situation.

"Hyori stay here I will be back," I said as I followed Daniel, Crystal, and Gun.

As expected Crystal jumped to conclusions and started to speak nonsense. As Daniel tried to reach for her Gun stopped his hand. Daniel broke free from the grip and gun was about to kick him by changing his style when I blocked his leg.

"Woah there big guy, why are you hitting a guy who hasn't done anything?" I said gripping his ankle tight and letting go of him.

"You're a fun girl, I haven't met anyone like you," Gun said with his signature smirk

I then turned to Crystal and said "Listen, Miss, I don't know who you are but you also have no right to judge someone just because they are good-looking. Looks don't frame a personality, one's nature does and from your nature, I can guess that you are a hypocrite and, a spoilt brat."

"It's easy for you to say because you are good-looking too," she said

"I never thought of myself as a bigshot honestly but I do know the difference between being an actual person and a fake person," I said looking at her coldly

After which she left and before leaving she said "Next time you see me say hi."

I turned to Daniel and said "Geez how the hell do you attract such strange chicks"

"Oh well she seemed too rude for no reason," Daniel said sweat dropping

"But thank you Tsukiko" he continued

"What are friends for dummy," I said smiling

Soon Daniel and Duke's performance began. Me, Hyori, Zack, Zoe, Mira, and Jay all were cheering for the two.

Nerves were apparent in Daniel and Duke as they stood on stage. The crowd clapped and cheered, and the two friends exchanged anxious looks. As the music started, Daniel attempted to sing the first line, but his voice cracked in nervousness. Just as Daniel was about to falter, Duke quickly picked up the slack, flawlessly delivering a powerful rap verse.

Daniel listened to his friend's rap, feeling a surge of gratitude and admiration. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes and steadied himself. When it was his turn to sing, he opened his mouth and began to sing, his voice a bit shaky at first, but quickly gaining confidence as he hit each note perfectly, matching the beautiful tone of Duke's rap.

The crowd was captivated, watching the two friends perform together like experienced musicians. Their harmony created a mesmerizing effect, and the music seemed to flow effortlessly between them, each one supporting the other and making the performance truly unforgettable. I felt tears in my eyes but was still smiling.

As they finished the song, the music faded, and the applause from the crowd roared. Both Daniel and Duke were breathless, but the smiles on their faces showed their pride and joy in their successful performance.

After the performance ended I got a call from Himiko telling me that my sister-in-law and Hyori's sister Hairi, was in Seoul. I told this to Hyori and we both walked to her penthouse. The day ended in a happy tone and my guilt faded away.
