Ellie's POV:
I had no idea why did Jake have the audacity to come up to be and start insulting me, although some of it did get me good...
Either way, I returned to the camp to see Gabby and Tess seated around the fire. My guess is that Tom and Aiden went to get food.
"Hii Ellie!" Gabby waved to me excitedly, I smiled as I took a seat next to Gabby.
"Where's Aiden and Tom?" I had an idea of where they are, I just needed to confirm it or probably strike a conversation.
"They went to get breakfast." Tess replied. "Where have you been Ellie? I didn't see you anywhere when I woke up, why'd you get up so early?"
My urge to say 'none of your business' but however, I clenched my teeth and replied "I went out for a walk."
"Can I come along next time you go?" Gabby said enthusiastically as she placed her hand on my shoulder.
I softly smiled at my beloved girlfriend and replied "Sure, why not?" Even though my main intention was to search for the immunity totem, I suppose I don't want to make Gabby upset, after all she's the only person I can trust on this team.
As the three of us were deeply engrossed in our conversation, Tom and Aiden had arrived with a large chicken nested between Tom's arms.
"AWHH! A chicken! How adorable! Is this our pet?" Gabby seemed excited.
"Ah... No, this is breakfast." Tom replied awkwardly, Gabby seemed visibly upset.
"B-but, it can be our friend! We can name him Freckles!" Disbelief was written on Gabby's face as she looked down, with both Tess and I looking at her with some form of pity.
Tom sighed "Let's do a team vote, who wants to kill the chicken?"
Aiden and Tom struck their hands up, I was hesitant. I would kill the chicken but, I had to think about Gabby. Just then, Tess raised her hand.
"Alright, majority wins!" Tom exclaimed.
Gabby seemed pretty disappointed. "There, there Gabby, let's go get some apples, shall we?" I said in an attempt to comfort Gabby, I cannot afford to see her upset.
Gabby nodded and we both stood up and left our team's camp.
