Lori"мама папа?!" i called out as i unlocked the door to my childhood home and stepped in.
"Mum?! Dad?!"I heard voices come from the kitchen.
But suddenly, it went silent. Dead silent.
"Лорелай?! Что ты делаешь дома?!"
"Lorelai?! What are you doing home?!"The voice of my mother came, sounding almost... nervous?
"Просто пришел в гости!" i replied in a semi-shout as i walked in further.
"Just came for a visit!""Хорошо, милый!"
"Ok, honey!"—————————————
I finally entered the kitchen, where my mum was, papers, some that seemed to be mail, strewn out across the kitchen island in front of her.
I looked at and slightly observed mum. Why did she look...panicked?
[a/n they're speaking in Russian - i was gonna write the dialogue in Russian, but wanted to update today, so imma do that later)
"Hi, honey," she greeted, almost seemingly trying to seem as nonchalant as possible.
"Hi, muma," i greeted back, "what's all this?" i questioned the papers.
"Oh!" it was like something had struck her and she remembered the papers in front of her, "nothing! How's Tina?" she quickly changed the subject as she sort-of organised the papers.
I chose to ignore it as i replied, "she's good."
"Still the same Tiny Tina? College change her?"
I laughed, "college changes us all, muma."
"Even my precious daughter?"
I turned to the other doorway that led into the kitchen and smiled, "u-huh, even your precious daughter, dad."
He smiled back as he pulled me into a hug, "hi, Золотце."
"Hi, darling.""Hi, dad."
"How are you?" he asked as he pulled away.
"I'm okay."
"How's college? Ice skating? Friends? Jade? Tina?" dad asked.
"Boyfriends," muma added with a wiggle of her brows.
"College is okay. So is ice skating, i'm getting better. My friends are good. Jade is Jade. Tina is good. And no boyfriends," i listed off and i turned to muma at the last one.
Muma gave a fake, dramatic sigh.
"How's Cori? How's high-school going for her?" i asked, referring to my little half-sister.
"Cori is good. She's settling into high-school just fine. She's just being dramatic about it," muma stated as dad tsk-ed.
I laughed, "of-course she is."
"She's gotten into basketball recently," dad informed.
"Oh?"
"Guess you girls are into sports."
"Oh," i laughed, "i hate sport. I just love ice skating."
"Basketball is a good sport to get into," dad continued, "glad it's not something like motorcycling or soccer."
