I held my phone away from my ear as Jade's exclamation sounded through my phone.
I had decided to call Jade and tell her because i needed to tell someone else about it.
That, and that i knew she would probably be planning my funeral if i told someone else before her.
"Jeez, any louder, JJ?" i asked sarcastically, rolling my eyes.
"Who is your what?!"
"Yeah, mhm."
"And you're being serious?"
"Dead serious, Jade."
"When did you find out?"
"Like, maybe a week-?"
"And you only told me now?"
"Sorry my first thought when finding out i have a sister isn't to tell you!"
"Yeah, you should be very sorry for not telling me the second you found out you have a long lost sister! I want a five paige essay telling me how sorry you are!"
"Well, we don't always get what we want, Jade!"
"What?!"
I turned to my door, where Tina stood in the doorway, with V peeping her head over her shoulder.
"Oh, hi-"
"What do you mean hi-?!"
My phone started ringing, cutting her off.
I got off my bed and went to the door and closed it as i pushed Tina and V out, ignoring their protests.
"Hey, i got another call, gotta go," i informed JJ.
"No, don't le-!"
Her voice cut off as i ended the call.
I knew she would be calling me back soon anyways.
I looked at the unknown number before warily picking it up.
"Hey," a voice i instantly recognised.
"Oh, hey Paige," i greeted back.
I was about to ask how she got my number when she answered it herself without me needing to ask.
"I asked Lottie for your number, i hope you don't mind," she informed.
I felt myself involuntary smile.
"Yeah, no- no, that's okay."
"So, we're gonna hang out again at mine and Nika's, maybe watch a movie, wanna join?" she asked.
I quickly thought about it and didn't see why not.
"Sure," i agreed.
"Ok, i gotta go before KK eats my food. Bye Lorelai."
"Bye," i said back, not asking how she knew my legal name.
But i didn't mind it.
After we hung up the call, i saved her contact in my phone.
i dreaded going out of my room because i knew Tina and V would bombard me with questions.
Questions i didn't feel like answering then.
So i didn't.
