I headed down to my first class.
I walked into the classroom and took my seat.
The teacher had already started the lesson and was doing her usual blah blah blah!
How boring.
I listen carefully and take notes, occasionally asking questions if I don't understand.
The next class is maths, which is my least favourite subject.
I find it dreadful and boring.
The long lists of calculations make my brain explode.
My mean teacher is always going through a mathematical problem.
I try my best to follow along, but I find my mind nodding off almost every time.
I try to stay awake and pay attention, but I start to drift off and zone out.
After getting through that torment and a lecture about falling asleep in class, I head off to my next class, English.
I walk into the room and take my seat at the back of the class.
The teacher is already there and began to cover some reading material for that day.
My class starts discussing the reading, and I start taking notes.
I find it
more interesting than maths, but I still struggle to stay awake and focused. After English, it's time for lunch.
I go to the dinner line and get in it.
I try to get to the front of the line quickly so I can get my food and sit down before it's busy.
Despite all my efforts the line is jam packed with immature children throwing paninis at each other and messing about.
I shove through the line not wanting to deal with this again and I choose a simple meal of a salad and water because I want to eat healthy.
I find a seat in a small corner and I sit down with my textbook and notebook to keep me company while I have lunch.
That is the extent of my lunch break, not fun at all but I'm very happy to have some time to myself.
After my food is gone I get to have a break all for myself.
I'm glad to have the opportunity to get outside and blow off some steam.
I walk to a small spot outside in the school grounds and sit down in the grass.
I pull out my phone and check my text messages and social media, zero notifications like usual.
I'm never mad over anything though, The fresh air and sunlight is a welcome break from the cramped hallways inside of the school and that always makes me feel pleasant.
I enjoyed the peace and quiet and the bright, blue skies above me.
Until, a group of four girls -Poppy, Lisa, Rosie and Sara interrupted my piece and quiet “Girl, what are you doing all alone talking to your invisible friends?” She cackled like a witch.
Rose continued, “Is that because she has no real friends?” The girls burst out laughing and watched my reaction.
This went on for half an hour until they finally left me alone.
After the break, I headed to my art class. Finally, something I enjoy!
I like a variety of art such as: drawing and painting. I am excited to make something original and artsy.
I sit down at my table and start to come up with ideas for my piece.
I think back to my recent dreams and how surreal they were, which inspires my artwork. I begin to sketch out a rough shape for my piece and begin to add my own details.
I work on my piece and keep adding to it until the art period is over. After all of that, I walk over to my history class and take a seat in the front row.
I opened the textbook for the lesson for that day.
The class had already started discussing the historical figures involved and the impact they had on their society.
I listen vividly and I take notes for the work next week.
I find the topic interesting and I'm quite curious about the connections between the different families.
I keep taking notes and asking questions throughout the class until the teacher announces it's time for home.
I gather my school things and head out of the building, ready to go home.
