After having had a good night's sleep, they were ready to go out on the lake and see what the problem was." I heard a fisherman died yesterday, I'd like to see how much power these little ghosts have, usually Water Ghosts just play tricks on people, now they even dare to eat humans. Zewu-Jun, besides the villagers, is there anyone else who has seen these things?". Asked Wei Ying as he walked alongside Lan Xichen." The Ghosts are so crafty, once people are dragged into the water they can barely swim back, no one has ever seen their true appearance". Explained the older Lan brother. Wei Ying stayed back a little and walked with Lan Zhan, wanting to tease the older man a little, but before he could, Lan Zhan took the liquor that he was holding and poured it on the ground." No liquor during night hunts". He said and walked off, leaving a pouting Wei Ying to complain to his brother.

They arrived at the docks, setting off in the boats, soon enough, fog started to surround them." Everyone, be careful, we are near the haunted area". Said Lan Xichen, Wei Ying looked around, trying to see past the fog, and then he looked at Lan Zhan, he seemed deep in thought, so when Wei Ying noticed that something was wrong he shouted to Lan Zhan." Lan Zhan, look out". He said as he used his paddle to creat a small wave, making the boat turn around. Lan Zhan jumped just in time onto Wei Ying's boat, everyone turned around to see what happened and saw a strange creature go back in the water." What was that". Asked Wei Ying." I've never seen a Water Ghosts like that". Said Jiang Cheng." Don't Tell me they are tainted by something". Said Wen Qing." Young Master Wei, how did you know they were under the boat?". Asked Lan Xichen." Easy, the movement is strange, just now his boat only had one person on it, but it sunk deeper than the boat carrying two people, so there must be Water Ghosts under it". Explained Wei Ying, he saw Lan Zhan was looking slightly upset." Lan Zhan, I didn't splash water on purpose, it's because the Water Ghosts are so cunning, if I said the truth they would have run away". Said Wei Ying as he walked closer and closer to Lan Zhan until he was right next to him." Lan er gēgē, you poured out my liquor and I didn't say a word, now are we clear?". He said with a playful smile, Wangji looked at him, clearly flustered, but he didn't say a word.

All of the sudden, two of those strange creatures appeared on both sides of Wei Ying and Lan Zhan's boat, bot of the men took out their swords and sent them too the creatures stabbing them, making them retreat in the water." What's the name of your sword?". Asked Lan Zhan after staring at it for a couple of seconds." Suibian". He answered with a smile." The swords have a spirit, it's offensive to call it whatever you want". Said Lan Zhan, making Wei Ying sigh." I didn't ask you to call it 'whatever I want', its name is Suibian". He said as he showed Lan Zhan his sword, Suibian writing on it." I know what you want to say, you want to know why I picked this name and if there is any special meaning, actually there's nothing special. When Clan Leader Jiang gave it to me, he asked how I would name it, I thought of more than twenty names, but none of them were good enough, so I said 'Suibian', I think Suibian is not so bad". He explained to Lan Zhan.

As they went on, the fog got thicker. Wei Ying heard Jiang Cheng scream, worried he shouted to Jiang Cheng, asking him if he was ok, but he didn't respond." Jiang Cheng, are you ok?". He tried again, still no response. Jilang Cheng was hurt, one of those nasty creatures had made a cut on his leg, but he wasn't hurt enough to worry his brother. He was about to shout back to Wei Ying that he was ok when he saw Lan Xichen had flown over to his boat." Young Master Jiang, are you ok?". He asked, a small frown of worry on his face." I'm ok, Zewu-Jun". He said, trying to get up but he stumbled, almost falling but Lan Xichen caught him." I doubt that, how about you come over to my boat?". Said the Lan Leader, Jiang Cheng seemed flustered, not being able to say anything before he had gently taken him by the arm and they both flew back to Lan Xichen's boat.

Wei Ying seemed to have seen him and Zewu-Jun going back to the Clan Leader's ship, Wen Qing, being a doctor, flew over to Lan Xichen's boat to check out Jiang Cheng's injury and had deemed it indeed not too serious. They had now stopped moving, being directly over the haunted area. Lan Zhan saw another Water Ghosts coming under his and Wei Ying's boat, he quickly took Wei Ying arm and jumped off the boat with him, flying to Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen's boat, they were slightly cramped as Wen Qing was also there, but they managed.

Wen Ning was alone on the boat and was starting to feel scared." The colour of the water...". He couldn't finish his sentence, feeling too paranoid. The others looked down to see that the water was slightly red, but they didn't have the time too figure out why, because soon enough the Water Ghosts were forming a massive circle." Go back now". Said Lan Zhan in a serious tone, all of them looked at him after he said that, not completely understanding why." The thing in the water deliberately led us to the center of the lake, go now". He said in a rushing manner, and something seemed to click for Wei Ying." It's the Aqua Demon! The Water Ghosts came together and became the Aqua Demon! They want to eat all of us!". After Wei Ying said that, everyone seemed more alert about what was going on." Everyone, ride your swords!". Shouted Lan Zhan, everyone doing so but one disciple, Su She, he had sent his sword in the water, having tried to kill off the Water Ghosts, but it had gotten stuck and now he was also stuck on the boat, not having a way out.

Wen Ning, saw this and wanted to help, but when he landed on the boat, he felt like he was in a trance, he couldn't move, he couldn't shout for help, he couldn't do anything but stand there, Wei Ying saw that his friend was in trouble and went over to help him and the disciple but when he touched Wen Ning's shoulder and he turned around, Wei Ying saw that Wen Ning's eyes were only white, his pupils no longer the brown colour they were, but white. He thought it was strange but he had no time to ponder as Wen Ning passed out in that moment, he took him and Su She by their shoulder and flew up on his sword.

Lan Zhan saw Wei Ying had trouble lifting both of them up, he quickly flew over and took Su Shi by his color and he unintentionally grabbed Wei Ying by his waist, but he didn't have time to readjust his arm placement and quickly flew up.

Wei Ying had grabbed Wen Ning by his arm, but was currently also very flustered at the fact that Lan Zhan was holding him in such an intimate manner." Lan Zhan, thank you for helping me". He said, looking over to his brother to see if he was ok too. Meanwhile, Lan Xichen had been playing Xiao, his flute, to stop the Aqua Demon, which seemed to have been effective as the Water Ghosts disassembled and swam away. When it was finally all over, they flew back to the Caiyi docks. Wei Ying didn't want Lan Zhan to let him go, but he couldn't just tell Lan Zhan to hold onto him, so when Lan Zhan let him go he didn't say anything, however, the second young Master Lan seemed just as flustered as Wei Ying, his ears flushed red.
