Chapter 10: The End

Ten years had passed since the stopping of the infection, and humanity regained control over their planet once again. The mighty Echolysis City has now restored to its powerful state after several colonies and survivors all around the world emerges from the sudden death of all infected Zombies. The skies are now clear, blue, and bright again as before. Everything has been rebuilt to its proper functionality. Granted not everything is fully repaired, but it's livable. A large monument can be found in the Echo Reactor as it has now restored its functionality. They completely moved the research lab away from the reactor to prevent any further accidents or apocalypse like in the past. The monument consisted of the six brave souls who had bravely ventured and saved the world. There were three graves to honor the dead three and three statues of Ezar, Lynara, and Mei. As people walk across the roads, a quick pair of feet is running through the crowd in a hurry. Mei is rushing with a brown sleeveless jacket with a white shirt underneath and blue skirt. She is much taller and more mature physically and mentally. She rushes into a hospital, barging in to meet the receptionist. "Room 195, quickly. I need to get going." "Oh, sure it's at the second-" "I know, thanks!" Mei runs off, interrupting the receptionist. She saw how many people were taking the elevator, so she went up the stairs instead. She sprinted across the busy halls filled with doctors and patients, getting through their way. Finally, she reaches her desired room and barges in. As she enters, the sound of baby cries and noises fill the room. There, she sees Lynara in bed while Ezar is holding her hand. Doctor Iva can be seen with a happy face beside them. "I'm here! I'm here!" "Mei, you really didn't have to hurry here, heh." "Don't worry, I wanted to see this moment!" "Relax dear, she's old enough to decide now. No need to be so worried about her." "Lyn, I know. Though, she's still my sister." "Let me see those big eyes!" Mei sits near Lynara, playing with the newborn baby while Iva can be seen almost in tears. "You've all grown so much since the time I first met you three..." "Well, you were part of why you are able to see this now, Iva." "Big thanks to you, Iva." "Aw, stop it already. You should get most of the credits. If it weren't for you being so dedicated, we would still be in chaos." "Well, that's what we call teamwork, right brother? What was that quote you said?" "Oh? It was, 'the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.' Heard it from a song long ago." "So, have you decided on your new baby boy's name yet?" "Lyn, you had a name, didn't you?" "Hehe, well I do have one. Let's name him... Vires. It was through strength we achieved this outcome."
