The beach stretched out before Belly, its expanse of sand bathed in the warm hues of the setting sun. She sat with her legs crossed, her gaze fixed on the horizon, lost in thought. It had been a while since she'd had a chance to catch up with Taylor, and she found herself longing for the comfort of her friend's presence.

As if on cue, she spotted Taylor making her way down the shoreline, her easy stride a familiar sight. Belly waved, a smile spreading across her face as Taylor approached.

"Hey, Belly!" Taylor called out, her voice carrying on the breeze as she settled down beside her friend on the sand.

"Hey, Taylor," Belly replied, returning the smile. She felt a sense of relief wash over her at the sight of her friend, grateful for the opportunity to finally talk.

They sat in silence for a moment, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore filling the air between them. Belly took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before speaking.

"Taylor, I need to talk to you about something," she said, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

Taylor turned to face her, her expression gentle and attentive. "Of course, Belly. What's on your mind?" she asked, her voice soft.

Belly hesitated, unsure of where to begin. "I'm having a child with Conrad"."It's just...everything feels so complicated right now," she admitted, her words coming out in a rush. "And I don't know what to do."

Taylor reached out to place a comforting hand on Belly's shoulder, a silent gesture of support. "You don't have to have all the answers, Belly," she said, her voice filled with empathy. "Sometimes it's okay to just take things one step at a time."

Belly nodded, feeling a weight lift from her shoulders at Taylor's words. "I know you're right," she said, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips. "It's just hard sometimes, you know?"

Taylor nodded in understanding, her gaze fixed on the horizon. "I know, Belly. But no matter what happens, you're not alone," she said, her voice filled with conviction. "I'll always be here for you, no matter what."

Belly felt a surge of gratitude wash over her at Taylor's unwavering support. In that moment, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the beach and the comforting presence of her friend, she knew that she would find the strength to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

As they sat together on the sand, the sun dipping below the horizon in a blaze of fiery colors, Belly felt a sense of peace settle over her heart. As Taylor wrapped an arm around her shoulders, offering her the solace of her friendship, she couldn't help but feel hopeful for the future that lay ahead.
