The rest of the week seemed to pass too slowly for Jimin, it felt like an eternity. He was looking forward to the party, he couldn't wait to go out with Jungkook.
But why was he so excited? In the past, he never truly felt different when going on dates. His ex-boyfriends didn't last long either, he dumped most of them rather quickly. There was no spark.
And then came this cocky brat, someone that caught his eyes right away. What was so interesting about him? Why did the alpha feel the urge to accept the invitation without second thoughts? Like he was waiting for it.
This feeling was too new. He couldn't quite place these emotions yet, not until he got a taste of the real thing. Whatever that might mean.
Taehyung was bugging him all day, teasing him about the outcome of the upcoming night. It's a miracle the older didn't punch him in the face, though he was very close.
"I'll sleep at Jin's tomorrow." The younger stated, sitting on the sofa.
"I already said you don't have to. I'll probably come home early anyway." Jimin plopped down next to the man, leaning his back against the other's shoulders.
"Don't be like that! Enjoy yourself for once." He threw a hand over the alpha's shoulder and chest, resting his arms on him.
"Do you know me as a party animal?"
"You can still have fun without being one." As an answer he only got a grunt and an eye roll from the other.
Jimin tried to get his mind off the party, so he got on social media and browsed the web, but it turned out to do the exact opposite. He saw too many people having fun with their giant friendgroup or significant other.
He groaned and aggressively slapped the phone down on the sofa. Taehyung snapped his head towards the man, eyebrows raised. He laughed and pat Jimin's chest, scrolling on his own phone.
"It's not funny, I feel pathetic." He threw his head back, pouting. "It's a damn party, why am I stressing over nothing??"
The taller smiled, enjoying the other's distress. "You're hopeless."
The older squeezed his mouth, turning his head to face his best friend. The latter didn't bother to look at him, so the alpha got out of the hold and tried to do some housework, as a distraction.
"You know what? I won't go." He stopped, putting his hands on his waist.
"What??" Taehyung jumped up from his seat, turning around on the sofa. "You're mad. Don't throw away your shot like that!"
"I've decided. I'll text him right now. I'll tell him I'm sick or something." Jimin made his way to the couch, trying to get his phone, but as he reached for it, the other quickly snatched it before him.
"Not on my watch. You're not going to ruin such a chance!" He took the phone and made a run for it, getting as distant as he could.
"Don't fuck with me! Give it back!" The shorter ran after him, chasing him through the whole house. "You're such a kid." He couldn't help a laugh escaping.
Taehyung grinned and ran further. Jimin caught up, cornering the other. The latter laughed, feeling the taste of victory.
The taller didn't give in though, he tried to dodge the man and run past him, but the alpha was sharp and when they got next to each other, he jumped on the younger, capturing him.
The man was trapped underneath the shorter, the latter comfortably sitting on top of him. He succesfully got his phone back, smiling victoriously down at the other. He only got a glance of his face, but he might've seen a faint blush on his best friend's face. It was probably his mind playing tricks on him, though.
