After three years of dating, Gabriel and Sab had finally moved in together.
That morning, Gabriel woke up beside her. He turned to face her, smiling as he gently kissed her cheek. Sab stirred slightly, a small smile forming on her lips.
"Good morning, pretty girl," he whispered.
"Morning, baby," she replied, her eyes meeting his.
Gabriel stared at her for a moment, captivated. "You're so pretty, I— I... my goodness."
Sab chuckled. "What?"
He laughed and shook his head. "Breaky?"
She nodded, then paused. "Wait... you're cooking?"
"Of course," he said, squinting at her as if offended.
She laughed softly. "Are you sure it's going to be edible?"
Gabriel looked up at the ceiling dramatically, then back at her. "I'll taste it first. If my mouth starts foaming, you know what to do. Don't eat it. Call 911. Immediately."
Sab shook her head with a soft laugh, leaning in to kiss him.
Gabriel got up, washed his face, brushed his teeth, and headed to the kitchen to start breakfast. A few minutes later, Sab walked out, freshly washed, and burst into laughter at the sight.
"What the hell happened here?" she asked, looking around at the mess.
"Uh..." Gabriel muttered, caught red-handed.
"Get out of here," she said, trying to sound stern, though her laughter gave her away.
Gabriel pouted as she shook her head, chuckling softly. She kissed him and gave him a gentle push.
He sat on the bar stool, watching as Sab took over the cooking, a smile playing on his lips.
