Dark Cacao Cookie and his two watchers had just busted into Shadow Caviar Castle, just as the battle was starting outside. Their plan was simple; Locate where Golden Cheese Cookie was being held captive and help get her out.
As they traversed the halls, Cruchy Chip Cookie steps on a pressured tile of sorts. That then triggers arrows to start shooting from the walls of the corridor, like a boobytrap.
Cruchy Chip Cookie: W- What the..?!
Dark Cacao Cookie: You must have triggered something!
Caramel Arrow Cookie: I- hold on...
She sees another pressured tile on the other end of the corridor, and gets an idea. She grabs one of the Arrows with her insane reflexes, and uses her bow to shoot the tile, causing the shooting to end. She smugly looks at Cruchy Chip Cookie
Caramel Arrow Cookie: Problem solved.
Dark Cacao Cookie: Nevermind that! The path is clear, so get moving!
The three move down the corridor, followed by a large flight of stairs. After what felt like an eternity, they reached the end of it, which took them to the throne room.
"That was closer than I thought..."
-Cruchy Chip Cookie thinks to himself.
Just as they entered, a blast of purple energy came flying towards them, to which they barely dodged it. They all look in the direction of where it came from and see...
Matcha, Licorice, and Affogato Cookie.
Licorice Cookie: Sorry, but we cannot allow you to continue.
Affogato Cookie: Leige's orders, of course. Heheh~
Just the sight of Affogato Cookie sets off Dark Cacao Cookie, who charges straight at him. A battle then commences against the six, The two watchers vs Licorice and Matcha, and Dark Cacao against Affogato.
Somehow, Licorice Cookie and Matcha Cookie had more coordination than the watchers, jumping in on each other's attacks and making sure that they cannot intervene in each other getting attacked. But nonetheless, the two pulled through, coordinating their attacks enough to hit an attack that knocks both of them unconscious.
Just was they were about to give them the Divine Purification potion, they see how Dark Cacao's bout with Affogato is escalating...
Dark Cacao Cookie: I... am truly sick of you! You will be a thorn in my side no longer!
Affogato Cookie: Come on now, Dark Cacao. Getting feisty, are we? Besides, I would've been a much better ruler than you. Heheheh~
This statement absolutely infuriates Dark Cacao Cookie, who charges in swinging the Grapejam Chocoblade at him, Affogato Cookie using his staff to block. But it cuts straight through and..
...straight through Affogato's arm.
Affogato Cookie screams in pain, not long before he is knocked unconscious by the handle of Dark Cacao Cookie's sword.
Just was he is about to finish him off, Cruchy Chip and Caramel Arrow Cookie were able to hold him back
Cruchy Chip Cookie: Your majesty! Calm down! We aren't supposed to crumble them!
Caramel Arrow Cookie: Focus on what we're here for!
Dark Cacao grudgingly agrees, stepping back.
But, as they turn around, they see Matcha Cookie standing there, just in front of the stairwell. Because the watchers had to hold their king back, Matcha Cookie hadn't been given the potion, so she wasn't cured. Just as she was about to lunge in and attack, she was hit in the back of the head by something, blacking out.
Two cookies stood at the stairwell, one weilding a large whisk, another weilding a small mirror and wand.
They were Butter Roll Cookie and Pomegranate Cookie.
Butter Roll Cookie: Gee, this wast what I expected...
Caramel Arrow Cookie: I- why..? Dark Enchantress Cookie's minions... helping us?
Butter Roll Cookie: I'll explain later. Just heal them, or use that potion or whatever it is to cure 'em.
Cruchy Chip and Dark Cacao Cookie went over to cure Matcha and Licorice Cookie, while Caramel Arrow goes to cure Affogato, not really seeing why, because he is now one-armed. But she tips the liquid from the colory potion into his mouth.
After some more exploring of the throne room, they find the coffarigus, most likely containing Golden Cheese Cookie. The 5 all rush over to it, all of them having to open it, due to how tightly locked it is. But after some hard pulling, the lid of the coffarigus swings open, and Golden Cheese Cookie flops out of it, Dark Cacao Cookie catching her before she collides with the ground.
Dark Cacao Cookie: Golden Cheese Cookie! Are you alright??
Golden Cheese Cookie slowly wakes up, blinking some more before recognizing who is in front of her
Golden Cheese Cookie: ...Huh..? Dark Cacao Cookie...??? You truly helped me..?
Dark Cacao Cookie: Of course. It is what friends do, after all.
Golden Cheese Cookie: W- well... thanks, my hero.
Dark Cacao blushes from her statement of calling him her 'hero.'
Cruchy Chip Cookie: Hey, sorry to barge in on the moment, but that may not be what we're supposed to be focused on.
He points to the window, the direction of all of the sounds of battle being raged outside.
Everyone nods, and stand up, Golden Cheese Cookie quickly summoning her spear of absolution. Everyone heads downstairs and outside the castle, ready to join in the battle against Avarius Cookie...
