I think about the years past
When we were one
Arms linked, your head on my shoulder
Us separating was a never.
I think about the years past
How I thought they'd last
Even through all our fights
Nothing was ever not right.
I dreamed we'd last forever
I feared we'd never
But years I found after
We turned out to be the latter.
But nothing is forever
Everything ends in the end
Perhaps it's for the better
Nonetheless
I'd do it all again for a friend.
