Teacher struts into class, glaring at his students with his piercing eyes.

"Good morning, class," he says sarcastically. "It seems like some of you still haven't mastered basic English grammar. But let's not waste time, shall we?". He points to a student, which always has to be Nobita. It seems like he loathes him. "Nobi! your essay was an abomination," Sensei sneers. Whole class snickers, including shizuka. It churns Nobita's stomach like a washing machine to see the one he admires, likes to laugh at him as if he means nothing. He can't deny he still had some feelings for her, submerged deep inside his heart. But who was he even to pose an objection, Shizuka wanted to laugh at him, so she did.

"...You didn't even bother to use proper punctuation!?", he shouted. Nobita shifts in his seat. All he could do is to remain silent and be a subject to the teacher's verdict.

He swallowed hard. The teacher scowls at Nobita, taking a step closer. As he speaks, his tone becomes louder. He's clearly not happy with him.

"How are you expecting to be a competent writer if you can't even manage basic sentence structures?"

His lips curled in disgust.

"Do you have any idea how long I spent reading over all your essays? It was torture."

His lips twitch. He's not done punishing him yet. He crosses his arms and leans closer.

"And don't think that just because you're quiet, that I'm going to go easy on you,"

Now the students start to whisper amongst themselves, some frowned, clearly not feeling too optimistic about Nobita chances of passing this year.

Regardless, Dekisugi Hidetoshi, the class representative, was rather seeing Nobita with a sympathetic look. He was the sole peer of Nobita who didn't laugh at him, not even once.

He knows that it was highly inappropriate to make fun of someone who is struggling with academics. Dekisugi was rather convinced that he could help Nobita, only if he allowed him.

He knew that Nobita could do better if he tried hard enough and as for his witty-self telling him, Dekisugi understood Nobita's underlying potential, but he was well aware that he was lazy and he never takes his studies seriously.

This provides teachers the space to humiliate Nobita ruthlessly. He wanted to stop the teacher because he was going too over board. If the teacher can't motivate him he shouldn't just humiliate him in front of everyone. It doesn't seem like the teacher understood the gravity of this situation, he was demotivating Nobita. Dekisugi sighed softly, his eyes fixed on Nobita, he seemed to be occasionally zoning out while the teacher was mentioning his mistakes one by one, and he went into awful details.

"And the next essay you're going to write will be double the length of the last one."

Nobita nodded. Sensei sees that Nobita's now at a complete loss at what to say back. He's frozen, unable to speak. The teacher was getting under his skin and he knew it.

"Well, flee from my sight now and just don't forget the essay I assigned, or I'll punish you by giving you a failing grade. If you want to be a writer, you have to earn it first."

He lets out a condescending chuckle as he turns away from Nobita, the class begins to scatter all around him. He loved humiliating the powerless, he got a kick out of it, pure evil took pleasure in his students suffering.

Nobita too begins to pack his supplies. Teacher leaves. His peers snickered around while passing degrading comments. But Nobita hardly paid attention to any of them. He just took his Bentou, and strides out of the class.

Dekisugi's eyes followed his trail, he wanted approach him but it seemed to be difficult. They weren't even friends, it was harsh truth, it was true that when they were younger they often endorsed taking part in various adventures, but eventually Nobi Nobita distanced himself from Dekisugi Hidetoshi. He wanted to help him, not because he sympathized with his situation, he genuinely wanted to help him grow academically. Sensing clearly how much the banter with the teacher affected him. Dekisugi sighed and gets up when he heard a chirpy girly voice.

"Dekisugi-kun!", she chirped and tilts her head while a smile was plastered on her face, she walks closer to the towering male and compared to him she almost seemed like a child.

"Ah- Minamoto-san, what can I help you with?", his courtesy like a prince, he smiles back at the girl, while he kept cleaning his desk.

The girl whines, "After all those years you have known me, you never took the pleasure of calling me by my first name.",

Dekisugi chuckles in response; his voice wood and husk. The deep notes of his melodious chuckle was more than enough to drive anyone with a heart completely smitten.

"Minamoto-san, up with the usual banter with the name thing, are we?", he said playfully, he was ready to go, his bentou was out. And honestly, he was twitching to drink his protein shake and take his prescribed diet.

"Shizuka! my name is Shizuka, is it too difficult to call me by my name?", she said, almost annoyed but kept her voice calm and chirpy. Dekisugi always cancelled her romantic advances, by being respectful and humble.

"See, Minamoto-san.", he said, rather intentionally to get on her nerves.

Shizuka, huffed and smiles, visibly annoyed. Dekisugi was rather sadistically enjoying this.

"I respect you a lot and as I've made you aware many times, I don't prefer calling the ones I respect by their first name. I hope you understand the gravity of this.", he smiles and leaps towards the door, to avoid any further discussion with her. Minamoto Shizuka, stood there dumbfounded.

"Perhaps I should take my leave now."

As Dekisugi left her right there, he took a large sip of his protein shake in the meantime he strode in the hallways that lead him towards the usual place to enjoy his lunch without any disturbance.

When he reached his usual spot; the terrace. Cold and soothing winds played a game with his raven hair. His azure eyes closed as particles of dust went into them. He shields his eyes with his hands to avoid any further damage.

As soon as he opens them, he took in a sight of the poor boy. The boy who is subject of his peers's mockery. He was sitting at Dekisugi's spot and was quietly eating.

Dekisugi took a large sip of the protein shake again. Battling inside his head that whether he should approach him or not. He finally noticed that his drink was finished, he sighed as he stared at the empty bottle.

There was an underlying emotion that was growing within him, he wanted to be on good terms with his old friend.

"What's wrong with me?", he was surprised that why he was hesitant to approach him, he was just Nobita. His classmate. Then where the problem emerged?

"Perhaps he loathes me. We haven't spoken to each other for years as far as my memory depicts.", Dekisugi admitted but nonetheless he started towards him;

"Nobi-kun, would you mind if I join you?"
