A/n: It is just a side Story and all of the Side story does not have anything to do with the actual story, even Y/N appearance would be different here....

The warm afternoon sunlight filtered through the windows, casting golden hues over the classroom. Y/N sat in his seat near the window, his silver hair slightly tousled by the breeze. His eyes, usually calm and unreadable, held a faint trace of amusement as he spoke with Fuutarou, who sat across from him, arms crossed in his usual serious manner.

"So, let me get this straight," Y/N said, tilting his head slightly. "They actually studied on their own this time?"

Fuutarou let out a tired sigh, rubbing his temples. "Yeah… well, more or less. They were still complaining the whole time, but at least they weren’t trying to run away."

Y/N smirked. "Progress is progress. At this rate, they might even start liking studying."

Fuutarou gave him a deadpan stare. "Now you’re just being delusional."

Before Y/N could respond, the classroom door suddenly slid open with a soft clack, and a quiet voice spoke up hesitantly.

"Um… excuse me."

Both Y/N and Fuutarou turned to see a first-year girl standing nervously at the entrance. She had short, wavy brown hair that framed her delicate face, and wide, nervous eyes. She was gripping the hem of her skirt tightly, shifting her weight from one foot to the other.

The classroom went silent for a moment as all eyes turned toward her.

"Y/N-senpai… could I speak with you for a moment?" she asked in a small voice.

Fuutarou raised an eyebrow before glancing at Y/N, who looked equally puzzled.

"Uh, sure," Y/N replied, standing up. "What’s up?"

The girl hesitated, taking a deep breath before speaking.

"Can you meet me on the rooftop after school? There’s something I need to tell you."

At those words, a wave of murmurs spread through the classroom.

"Did she just ask him to the rooftop?"

"That’s totally a confession, right?"

"Man, Y/N’s got some serious luck."

Even Fuutarou looked mildly intrigued as he leaned in slightly. Y/N, however, remained calm, his expression unreadable as always.

After a short pause, he gave a small nod. "Alright. I’ll be there."

The girl’s eyes brightened with relief, and she quickly bowed before scurrying out of the classroom. As soon as she was gone, Fuutarou let out a quiet chuckle.

"Well, if that wasn’t obvious, I don’t know what is."

Y/N sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, I figured."

Fuutarou crossed his arms, giving him a knowing look. "So? What are you gonna do?"

Y/N leaned back in his chair, gazing out the window. "I’ll hear her out, but my answer’s already decided."

Fuutarou studied him for a moment before nodding. "I see."

After School – The Rooftop

The sky was painted in warm shades of orange and pink as the sun slowly descended toward the horizon. A gentle breeze rustled Y/N’s silver hair as he stepped onto the rooftop, the door creaking slightly as it closed behind him.

The first-year girl stood near the railing, her back turned to him. The way she clutched her hands together tightly showed her nervousness.

Unbeknownst to her, Fuutarou had also arrived but had positioned himself near the rooftop entrance, just out of sight but close enough to hear.

At the sound of footsteps, the girl turned around. Her eyes widened slightly before she quickly straightened herself.

"You came…" she said, her voice quiet but filled with determination.

Y/N gave a small nod. "Yeah. You said you had something to tell me?"

She took a shaky breath, her cheeks turning a soft pink.

"Y/N-senpai… I—I really like you!" she blurted out, bowing deeply. "Ever since I saw you at the entrance ceremony, I couldn’t stop thinking about you! You’re kind, strong, and always so composed… I’ve admired you for so long!"

A silence stretched between them. Even from his hidden spot, Fuutarou could feel the weight of the moment.

Y/N, however, remained composed, his expression calm but unreadable. He let out a small sigh, closing his eyes for a brief moment before speaking.

"I see."

The girl hesitantly raised her head, a glimmer of hope flickering in her eyes.

But Y/N’s next words shattered it.

"I appreciate your feelings," he said evenly, "but… I can’t return them."

The hope in her eyes dimmed instantly.

She took a step back, her lips trembling. "B-But… why?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Y/N exhaled softly, his gaze steady. "There’s someone else I already have feelings for."

The words struck her harder than she had expected. Her fingers curled into fists at her sides as tears welled up in her eyes. She bit her lip, trying to hold them back.

"I… I understand," she whispered, forcing a wobbly smile. "Thank you for listening to me, Y/N-senpai."

She turned away, quickly wiping her tears before running toward the exit. Her soft sobs echoed faintly in the wind before the door slammed shut behind her.

For a moment, there was only silence.

Fuutarou finally stepped out from his hiding spot, his expression unreadable.

"That was rough."

Y/N let out a quiet chuckle, though it lacked any humor. "It’s better to be honest than to give false hope."

Fuutarou nodded. "Still… rejecting someone is never easy."

Y/N leaned against the railing, gazing at the sunset. "No, it’s not."

The two stood there in silence for a while, watching as the last light of the sun faded beyond the horizon.
