Few days later. Meena was walking home from the convenience store, a sense of unease crept over her. She quickened her pace, feeling as though someone were trailing her footsteps. Glancing around, she searched for any sign of other pedestrians, but the street was deserted.

Determined to reach safety, Meena hurried along, her heart pounding with each step. Suddenly, her belongings slipped from her grasp, scattering onto the pavement. As she bent to retrieve them, she froze in shock at the sight of Kit standing before her.

"What are you doing here?" Meena demanded, her voice tinged with apprehension.

Kit's response was dismissive. "Nothing much, just happened to be in the area," he replied casually.

Unnerved, Meena attempted to leave, but Kit seized her arm, his grip tightening painfully. "Don't leave yet, let's grab some coffee," he insisted, his tone unsettling.

Meena recoiled, her discomfort mounting as Kit refused to release her. "I have other plans," she protested, struggling to break free.

But Kit's hold only tightened, causing Meena to cry out in pain. Desperate to escape, she delivered a swift kick to his groin, finally freeing herself from his grasp.

With adrenaline coursing through her veins, Meena sprinted home, her heart racing with fear. As she reached the safety of her house, she bolted the door behind her, her hands trembling with adrenaline.

Knowing she needed support, Meena reached for her phone, hesitating before dialing Aoom's number. Instead, she opted to call Charlotte, Meena's hands trembling as she dialed Charlotte's number, seeking solace and guidance from her trusted friend. After a few rings, Charlotte answered, her voice warm and concerned.

"Meena, what's wrong? You sound upset," Charlotte exclaimed.

Taking a deep breath to steady herself, Meena recounted the terrifying encounter with Kit. "I was walking home from the store when Kit appeared out of nowhere. He grabbed my arm and wouldn't let go," Meena explained, her voice quivering with emotion.

Charlotte listened intently, her concern evident. "Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" she inquired, her voice laced with worry.

Meena reassured her friend, "I'm physically fine, just shaken up. But I don't know what to do. I'm scared, Charlotte."

Charlotte's voice was firm yet comforting as she responded, "First, make sure you're safe. Lock your doors and windows, and don't hesitate to call the police if you feel threatened. And don't worry, I'll come over right away. We'll figure this out together."

Meena felt a wave of relief wash over her at Charlotte's words. "Thank you, Charlotte." she said gratefully.

"Of course, Meena. I'll be there soon," Charlotte promised, her determination unwavering.

As Meena waited for Charlotte to arrive, she couldn't shake off the lingering sense of unease that Kit's presence had left behind. Every creak of the floorboards seemed to echo with the memory of their encounter, and Meena found herself glancing nervously at the windows, half-expecting to see Kit's face peering in.

When the doorbell finally rang, Meena rushed to answer it, relieved to see Charlotte standing on the doorstep. Without a word, Charlotte enveloped Meena in a tight embrace, offering silent comfort and support.

Once inside, Meena recounted the events of the evening, her voice trembling with fear and anger. Charlotte listened attentively, her expression growing increasingly grim as Meena described Kit's aggressive behavior.

"This is unacceptable, Meena. No one should ever make you feel unsafe. You should tell Aoom about what he did," Charlotte declared, her tone resolute.

Meena hesitated, knowing that involving Aoom would only lead to her girlfriend's anger. "I don't want to worry Aoom unnecessarily," she admitted, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
