The refreshing morning sun shone it's rays through the gap in the long windows that shielded the windows onto my sleeping face.
I groggily opened one eye only to shut it once more at the unexpected brightness that evaded them.
Once I had braced myself for the light,  I opened them once more and they glanced sentimentally about the room.
I am so going to miss this room .

Urgh!

My subconscious couldn't just allow me to enjoy even a second after waking up?!

If your wondering why am so moody then...

"Good morning Emmy!" A piercing shrill

I didn't have to look over at the door that had been flung open to know who that was.

I harshly shot a pillow in her direction, which she quickly dodged.

"Could you please shut it Leina?!" I whined as I pulled the covers over my head.

" There's nothing good about this morning."

I felt the bed sink under her weight as she sat beside me.

"Oh! Emmy, don't be  kill joy," she said shaking me as she bounced up and down on the bed like a child.

She then pulled the covers from my head playfully and yelled.
"Happy Birthday Emerald!"

I just shot her a death glare which made her wipe the huge grin off her face.

Her expression then turned serious as she finally stopped evading the real reason for my sourpuss attitude.

"Look Emmy, I know you hate this dreaded day but hating it won't change a thing, will it?"

She did have a fair point but I just couldn't get over the fact that this would be my last day in the kingdom.

"So why not make the best of our little time together. Let's drown ourselves in our own pleasant realm until time for the reality to dawn in us, huh?"

I guess it was better than sulking all day yet it would be my only chance of happiness in the long time to come.

I pulled on a huge grin with a newfound desire to savour the time I had.

"You know what Lei?, your right. Let's have fun like we're kids once more"

"Oh, joy! I'm glad you're on board."
She squealed and clapped in excitement while I clogged my ears to protect them.

"Now come on, the king and queen will be waiting for you in the ballroom as well as the guests. I am so pumped for the Natalis Convivium!

She grabbed me by the hand and practically dragged me to the bath room.

A few maids who must have been new since I didn't recognize them were already in there.

As soon as we entered the started to exit in a single file.
It seems that they had finished preparing my bath. An extraordinarily captivating scent filled the air .

Wondering what it could be, I reached into the water and inhaled deeply. It was calming....almost healing.

"Do you love the scent, Emmy?" Leina asked skeptically.

"Indeed I do. Pray tell, why is it the first time I am using it in my bath? I am very sure it has never been added in it."

I had a very good memory. Not only if books, but if places, sounds and smells too.

"Correct Emmy," she confirmed as she helped me undress and get into the water.

The midnight blue flowers in the water caught my attention as one of the petals clung to my index finger
