A\N: Last night, I published the first chapter of this twoshot story. I had always planned for this to be a twoshot between Lilly and Scotty. I always wanted Lilly and Scotty to get together, I loved this quote because it showed how much Scotty cared and (in my opinion) loved her. I have more of this pairing coming up very, very soon. This ending will have a 5 month time jump after the conclusion of the first chapter.

5 months after Just say hey and I'll be there- chapter 1:
Detective Lilly Rush-Valens wakes up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily, her body sticky with sweat. She looks beside her in the bed at her sleeping partner.
Just a nightmare. She thinks to herself.
"Lil?" The sleep filled voice of the man sleeping beside her is awake. She woke him up. He's sitting up now, looking at her with concern in his eyes as he turns on the bedside lamp. "You okay?" He asks, Lilly looks at her partner, her husband and nods her head.
"Just a nightmare." She says to him, leaning into her husband's side. Scotty kisses her hair. "Do you need a hey?" She chuckles and shakes her head. "No." She answers with a sweet smile.
She's not used the 'hey' since that early morning phone call five months ago, the morning that they kissed twice. They moved in together a week later, and he proposed a month later and got married two days later with only themselves and Boss, who gave Lilly away, as a witness.
She looks down at her left hand, at the two rings that sit there when not at work. She remembers when he gave her these rings like they happened yesterday.
The proposal:
They've only been together a month, living together for a week but it feels like they've always been together. He knows her better than she even knows herself sometimes. She loves living with Scotty. She's been alone for so long but with Scotty, it's as if they've always lived together with how fast they developed a routine:
He'll wake up first and simply watch her for five minutes before getting out of bed and making them a cup of coffee.
She'll wake up to the aroma of coffee wafting through the house as he returns to the bedroom and the feeling of his lips on her forehead.
Then they'll sit in bed and drink their coffee together before Lilly uses the bathroom and shower first while Scotty cooks breakfast and feeds the cats for her.
She takes a ten minute shower and gets dressed.
When she arrives into the kitchen, Scotty has breakfast waiting for her along with a kiss to her lips.
"Good morning beautiful." He says, sliding a plate over to her before he leaves the kitchen to shower and dress for the day ahead. She eats breakfast before washing the dishes and placing them on the draining board.
Arms wrap around her waist as kisses are placed up and down her neck. "We should get going." He says against her skin.
When they step out of the door, they're Rush and Valens, partners and best friends. Until they walk back inside the door.
"Lil, can I ask you something?" Scotty asks after dinner when they're curled up on the couch. Lilly looks at him with a smile.
"You know you can ask me anything, Scotty." Lilly says softly. Scotty takes a deep breath before he takes something out of his pocket and opens it, showing it to her.
