It's sometime very late at night during the quiet Colorado town of South Park. The wind is calm and the starry night sky illuminates the silhouettes of the Rocky Mountains in the distance. Just outside of town on a hilltop sits a grand mid-century modern mansion.
Within the mansion, Stan's eyes open. He looks around the room still processing everything. His confusion only increases when he sees the unconscious bodies of eighteen people around him. Not only that, they're all his classmates?!
"What the hell?!" He exclaims, getting up off the ground from which he woke up. He notices the body of his best friend, Kyle Broflovski, as one of his many classmates strangely unconscious on the ground near him. "Oh my god! Kyle is that you?!" Stan runs over to Kyle and begins to shake his body back and forth.
Eventually Kyle's eyes open and he looks at Stan with a groggy expression. "Stan? What the-!" His eyes widen as he comprehends the situation he's in. "Where the hell are we?!" "I have no idea, dude", Stan replied looking at everyone else unconscious on the ground.
From across the other side of the room, one of the girls in the boys' class named Red McArthur gets up off the ground and looks at the two boys. "What on Earth...?", she mumbles to herself taking in her surroundings. Soon after her one of Stan and Kyle's "friends", Eric Cartman, wakes up. Then soon after him is Stan's girlfriend, Wendy Testaburger. And so on until everyone is awake and just as confused as each other.
Stan looks around the room to see a camera pointing down at them. "Hey!" He yelled. "Where are we?! How did we get here?! Why are we here?!" Nothing came of use from these yells.
Everyone is talking amongst themselves wondering the same things as Stan. These whispers are all put to a stop when one of Stan, Kyle and Cartman's good friends, Kenny McCormick, yells out loudly. Though his voice is muffled due to his oversized parka covering his mouth, it's still clear enough to understand the annoyance in his voice and what he's saying: "Screw you guys! I'm going home!" "Hey! That's what I say, Kenny!", Cartman responds in an irritated tone slowly running after Kenny as he exits the room of the manor and heads towards the wide pool deck overlooking the town of South Park.
Everyone begins to follow Kenny out to the deck and notice Kenny make a run into the forest at the front of the home. "Huh? That's odd...", Stan says in a confused voice. "Where's the road that connects this house to South Park? How come it's all just trees?"
Kenny is encroaching the forest but is stopped in his tracks when the sound of a gun cracks through the cold, night air. Kenny falls to the ground, motionless, leaving everyone with horrified expressions on their faces. "Oh my god! They killed Kenny!", Stan yells. "You bastards!" Kyle responds. "What on earth just happened?", says Butters Stotch; a naive boy who was considered by most to be Kenny's best friend. Tears begin to fall from Butters' blue eyes as he runs over to Kenny's bleeding body. Kyle yells at Butters, "No! Don't!", which causes Butters stop and turn back to Kyle. "Y-Yeah, maybe I shouldn't. Oh hamburgers...", he speaks through tears and sniffles, clearly wanting to see his friend but scared of the outcome if he tries too. He slowly creeps his way back to the pool deck.
"What is this?", asks Tolkien Black; the wealthiest boy in all of South Park. "Some kind of... barrier?! Why are they trying to keep us here?!"
"In here", says the smart, geeky boy of the class, Kevin Stoley, from inside of an unexplored room of the mansion. He points to the grand balcony overlooking the main room and the ominous and glitchy Television screen attached to it. On the screen are the faces of all nineteen students with pictures of them taken from above only minutes earlier. Kenny's picture is different though as it has been desaturated of all of its colour; of all of its life.
"Oh my god...", Stan looks at the board with fear in his eyes. "Is this some kind of... GAME?!"
