Thrones : The Fire Within Us

Blaze - 1

I wake up to the sound of people running down the castle hallways. "What the fuck" I mutter looking around my room. I have a fucking hangover and I'm not sure what time it is. Hell I might not know the day too. My chambers door opens and my mother walks in "Oh hell Blaze it smells horrid in here!" She says as she opening my curtains. The bright sunlight shines into my eyes "Oh fuck" I groan and cover my eyes with a pillow. "You need to get your ass up Blaze. It is a few hours until the ball" she says sternly. "The ball? What ball?" I ask confused. "The biggest ball of the season! This is the start of the new social season, now get your ass cleaned and dressed" She says and walks over to me. I groan and pull the covers back over my head "No". Next thing I know my covers are being yanked off of me and my mother tosses a cold splash of water on me. "Mom!" I holler and jump out of bed. She smirks at me "Good you're up" she says as she turns and leaves the room. 

An hour later I leave my chambers washed and dressed. "Blaze there you are" Faith exclaims walking down the hall to me. "What do you want rat?" I ask walking past her "I'm fucking starving" I add. "Mother wanted me to be sure you were dressed your best for the ball" she says catching back up to me. "I will be ready Faith, I need to eat now" I snap and walk into the kitchen. The kitchen staff hands me a plate full of food, I take it and go to the dining room to eat. 

As I'm eating I look out the windows, the dining room has a view of the front of the castle. Tonights ball was huge, a lot of royals and nobles would be in attendance. There was a line of carriages waiting to be dropped off. Truthfully I enjoy balls. I'm a good dancer and there is usually a lot of woman in attendance. I've always said flirting was my speciality, and I was quite good at it. 

After I was done eating I walked to the fitting room. When I walk in I see Ronin getting fitted in his suit. "Hey Bro" I greet him as I walk up and stand next to him. The seamstresses start to get my suit together. "Hey Blaze" Ronin says adjusting his sleeves. "Faith wanted you in red?" I ask looking at his red suit. Ronin chuckles "As always, she said its our best color". I laugh "I think it is actually. I'm just going to wear all black tonight, I hope there is a lot of hot girls". Ronin rolls his eyes "When will you settle down?" he asks glancing over at me. "Never" I reply quickly as I get dressed. "Andrews settled down and he was worse then you" he tells me. I shake my head "I will not be tamed like him". Ronin gives me a look "Alright I'm done, I will see you at the ball" he pats my shoulder then walks out. I turn and look at myself in front of the mirror I'm wearing a all black suit and shoes. My bright red hair popped in black, I grabbed a black crown and set in on my head. "Perfect your highness, your mother will be pleased" A seamstress says smiling at me. "Yes she will, thank you" I say and leave the room. Now it's time for the ball. 

I walk into the ball holding my hands behind my back. This is how I like to enter balls, I like to stay low and see who is here. I find the girl I want then I will go get her. I was never turned away or told no so I always get who I want. I see my mother standing at the bottom of the stairs greeting everyone. We make eye contact and she motions for me to come over to her. "Mother you look lovely" I tell her as I stand next to her. She was wearing a black dress that shimmered in the light. Her long black hair was curled and she wore a black diamond tiara on her head. "Blaze thank you darling, you look so handsome" she says smiling. "Come help me greet people" "I will" I reply. 

"Presenting, the king and queen of The Snow Kingdom, King Andrews and Queen Willa" The M.C announces. Andrews and Willa walk in holding hands. They are both dressed in white with white crowns. They smile when they see us standing at the bottom of the stairs. "King Andrews and Queen Willa, thank you both for joining us this evening" Mother says greeting them, she hugs them both. "We could not miss the first ball of the season" Willa says. I shake Andrews hand and hug Willa. "It is good to see you mate" Andrews tells me. "It has been too long, I look forward to speaking to you both later" I say to them both. They walk to the dance floor and start dancing together. 

"Presenting, the king and queen of Then Ocean Kingdom, King Titus and Queen Ariel. Also with them is their daughter, Princess Ella" The M.C announces. The three of them walk in, they are all dressed in a light blue color. Ella has long black braided hair, she is wearing a strapless blue dress and a necklace made out of seashells. Damn she is good looking. "Do not even think about it" My mother whispers to me. I chuckle and look down "Fine". 

"King Titus, Queen Ariel and Princess Ella, thank you for joining us" Mother says greeting them. She hugs them all and I just bow my head to them. "We are honored to be invited to such a prestigious ball" Titus says. "Indeed we are, our Ella will be joining the search for a husband next  season" Ariel adds. Ella smiles softly and curtsies low to mother. "Queen Raven it is such an honor to be here, let alone in your presence" Ella says sweetly. Mother smiles "You are a beautiful young woman, I'm sure you will have no trouble finding a suitable husband". Ariel smiles and looks at Ella "That's what I tell her, she is too busy always swimming in the ocean". Everyone laughs "Enjoy the ball, we shall chat more later" mother says then they walk away. 

Once we were done greeting everyone we turn to face the ballroom. It was lively and filled with everyone laughing and dancing. Lottie, my mothers head lady comes up to us and quickly curtsies. I haven't spoken to her to much but I know who she is. She is cute and little, I always call her the pink lady who follows my mother around. "Your grace I must tell you that everything is going perfect" she exclaims. Mother smiles "Well that is fantastic news is it not? I had hoped everything would go well". I glance over at Lottie and wink at her. Her eyes widen and she quickly looks away. Chuckling, I say "I'm going to go dance" then walk to the dance floor. 

After dancing for awhile everyone stops when my mother goes up on the stage the orchestra is playing on. "I would like to thank everyone for attending the first ball of the social season. It is an honor to host such an event. I want to thank all of my wonderful staff for helping me prepare for the event, none of this would be possible without them. I also have a special announcement to make" she says smiling at the crowd. Special announcement? What announcement and why wasn't I informed about it? 

"This will be the season that the prince intends to find a wife!" She announces, everyone turns to look at me and the room fills with whispers.
