Promise

Hope POV: If you know anything about my family, is that we make a lot of promises, and we always keep it. Promises were always a serious thing to my family, because a promise is basically a deal, you just don't expect anything in return.

Hayley: Hey Hope!

Hope: Oh!, sorry!

I promised to always take care of my family, and  grew to cherish it more than anything.

Hayley: hey...are you ok?, you've seemed distracted for some time now...

Hope: I'm fine mom, I've just been thinking that's all.

Hayley: Hope...you would tell me if something was wrong, right.

Hope: I would tell you anything you want to know.

She smiled and gave me a hug, 

Hayley: I still can't believe that you're here, As a teen!, what is your life like?

My face slowly dropped, All I could remember was my dad leaving, my mom dying and my dad not long after, How am I supposed to explain to her, she's full of hope (pun intended) and I don't want to take that from her so the best thing is to only mention the good parts.

Hope: pretty good, we spend our whole lives together in our home, you put me in a school for supernaturals like me and EJ, and Ollie, we'll not exactly since we are Hybrids, but you know.

Hayley: How is school?....is a question I never thought I'd ever ask.

Hope: School is good, my grades are good, EJ and Ollie are with me the whole time, you use- you come around just to check on us.

I saw her smile brighten, she was really happy.

EJ: Hope I'm not interrupting,

Hayley: you're fine, come in Hope was just telling me some things about your life.

Ej looked at me with a worried look

Hayley:....what?....oh no did I not treat you equally, is that why you thought I didn't want a son.

Ej:No!, no no no, that's not it at all mom, there are just something's about the future that we can't really explain.

Hayley: Oh...like what?

Hope: Um....

Ej looked at me hoping I had an answer and out of no where I blurted out

Hope: it's not a big deal...

Hayley:....this is about your dad, isn't it?

Ej: No mom-

Hayley: HE PROMISED ME HE WOULD PROTECT YOU NO MATTER WHAT!

Hope: No mom he did!, it's just-

Hayley: what?

Hope: He had to do a lot more protecting than he should've...

Hayley: what does that mean?

Ej: Dad had a lot of enemies as you already know, and...there were some things he had to do in order to protect us...
