A rush of planning approached as the days went by and the engagement day got near. Together with Jungwon, you were thrust into a frenzy of activity to finalise the ceremony's details and make sure everything was ready for the big day.
Even being a fake engagement, everything was a headache to put together. Both fathers were seemingly putting a little too much interest into this whole engagment party.
But the day had arrived. The day you would get engaged to Yang Jungwon. You knew all this was fake, yet it was still nervewrecking to have to pretend to be in love with him.
The tension kept building around your body as you paced back and forth in the small empty room with nothing but one single vertical, rectangle window and a vanity.
Your white engagment dress that you had choosen with Jungwon fit your body perfectly exposing just the right amount of skin and keeping the elegance and professionalism.
You bit the ends of your nails as your mind was full. Despite this being a fake engagement, the pressure to make it believeable was hard. Both your dad's company and Jungwon's company's business partners and employees were invited as you could hear the faint conversations of many people outside.
You kept glancing at the door nervously as you anticipated for the door to swing open at any second with your mother calling you for the ceremony to start.
And as expected. 5 minutes later the door creaked open as your head spun to the door immediately.
Your mother peaked into the room with a big smile. "Oh honey, you look beautiful" She stepped inside shutting the door. A soft smile formed on your lips as she gently took your hands in hers.
"I know this isn't real but seeing you like this makes me so proud. I can't wait for the day you get married. You're all grown up" You mother sighed gently cupping one of your cheeks.
"Thanks mum" You gently held her hand as she caressed your face.
"Well let's not make them wait any longer, everyone's outside already. Come come" You mother let go of your face and lead you out the room.
The second you stepped out of the dressing room you could hear everyone chatting and even a few kids running around.
The venue was huge and grand with the theme of gold and white. You were led onto the stage where Jungwon was already there talking to a few men who you guessed to be his fathers business partners.
His dad and your dad stood with him as his mother and older sister were setting up a few last things on the stage
The second you stepped onto the stage, everyone's attention turned to you. You looked gorgeous in the white dress you chose for yourself along with Jungwon.
Jungwon flashed you a friendly smile as he looked incredible in his suit. No matter how hot he looked, there was always a hint of cuteness with his face which you found adorable.
"Ah! So this is Jungwon's beautiful Fiance?" One of the men who was previosuly speaking to Jungwon turned his attention to you as the others including Jungwon did the same.
You smiled a bit nervously as you approached them politely.
"You'll be a perfect match for Jungwon, it's great to see your fathers finally put aside their rivalry" One of the men commented as both fathers chuckled nudging each other by the shoulder.
Jungwon could sense your nervousness as you tried not to make it obvious. You gently gripped your dress scanning the venue as your foot tapped under your dress on the floor.
You then felt a hand wrap around your waist. Your head turned to see Jungwon smiling at you as he stood beside you putting a hand on your waist in a respectful way.
"Nervous huh?" He spoke to you in a low tone.
"Very" You nod with a slight awkward chuckle as his eyes stared at you, understanding how you felt.
"Don't worry, I am to" He also chuckled. Even through the expensive, thick cloth of your dress, you could feel the warmth from his fingers which made you blush slightly.
More and more guests came forth to greet you and Jungwon, showering you both with compliments.
