IN WHICH adriana rodriguez had thought she had found the perfect boyfriend in chris. he was popular, kind-hearted, and she believed he truly loved her. for their two-year anniversary, adriana had meticulously planned everything – the roses, the fancy restaurant, the chocolates, and she had even handmade a scrapbook filled with cherished memories. she was all set to finally say the three words she had been wanting to tell him, when it happened.

all of his friends were well aware of his strong desire to win her back. he couldn't stop talking about it, and it was clear to everyone, including chris, that the chances she'd take him back were highly unlikely. despite this, chris refused to accept the reality and adamantly argued with his friends that they would ultimately reunite. this ongoing disagreement among the group eventually led to the initiation of a bet.
