Tara Elizabeth Kohli was born on December 31,1996 in New Delhi, India to a Punjabi Hindu father Manoj Kohli who is a businessman and British Former Model Jenna Elizabeth. Tara was raised in South Delhi with her parents before their divorce, after their divorce her mother got her custody and they both shifted back to USA where her mother used to own an apartment in New York. But after her mother married her stepfather they both moved back to L.A
Tara when she was in India attended Vishal Bharti Public School till 2005 then in states she was homeschooled because of her busy schedule.
Career
1997-2005
Kohli Modeling career began when she was just 3 months old and she was used for a baby calendar shoot. After that she was seen in various baby shoots till she was 2 years old with getting some advisement too. She starred in some Bollywood movie Like Koi Mil Gaya, Hera Pheri, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham as in minor role while continuing her studies too. On 2003 she was casted in a Fairy Tale show which was a massive hit among the children back then, but after her parents divorced and going to USA she has to quit the show.
2006-2012 : Breakthrough
After shifting in a whole new country Kohli give auditions for many scripts but she keep getting rejected because her she didn't had that accent they wanted. Whereas she used to model for some low brands. But on 2007 she was Finally selected For The CW network show Gossip Girl based on the novel series of the same name. where she played a role of 10 year old Avery Waldorf little sister of Leighton Meester character Blair, she played the role of a bratty and rich mean girl kid who loved to scheme with her sister untill 2012 with her character growing up and her story ended as her and her fiance James (Cody Christian) coming to the wedding with her pregnant. On 2009 she was casted in a Sophia Coppola film Sun doesn't Shine in which she played a role of teenage girl tortured all her life, raped by many of her father friends, in an interview when asked about her playing this role she revealed " That my heart breaks down for Sammy by the kind of torture and things she has gone through and then the way she fighted for herself and destroyed all her demons is the spirts I want everyone to have." Kohli was nominated for Oscar's at 2011 for the film at which she won. At 2010 she featured in Justin Bieber song Baby. She was then next seen on a Disney The Sweet life of Zack and Cody and Best of Luck Charlie where she played some episodic role.
