Jay and I have been best friends since middle school. Almost everyone knows that. The only thing they don't know is what we've grown into. In the past 5 years that we've known each other, we did things normal best friends wouldn't do. Would you kiss your best friend on your 15th birthday? Would you make out with them on sophomore prom? Would you steal their clothing and wear it to school? No, right? Well, I and Jay would, so that's why we decided this year that we wouldn't only be friends with benefits. We would become a couple. People in love, 2 boys who care for each other. I check my phone for any notifications before I walk to school. ''Is Jay coming over after school?'' Mom asks while she leans on the doorframe. ''I think so yeah, why?'' she chuckles and gets off the doorframe. ''Just a question, but have a good day at school!'' I nod and start walking to school, crossing roads with only one thing on my mind. His cute little smile. ''Hey, Tom!'' Liam shouts while I walk inside school. "Sup, Liam!'' I throw my jacket in my locker before I turn around to have a conversation with him. ''Nothing much, what have you been doing this weekend?'' I tilt my head my head a bit and shrug. ''Study, that's it. How about you?'' Liam smiles and looks at Michelle, who just happened to walk past us. ''Thinking about her, Jesus, she is so hot. I don't get how you don't like her, Tom?'' I try to keep my smile hidden from him. God, how much I wish to tell him that I'm with Jay is insane. ''She looks way too much like me.'' I reply, scanning Michelle from head to toe. ''That is weird, yeah.'' Jay hops into the conversation. ''Tom, Liam! Hey!'' I smile and ruffle through his hair. ''Sup Jay, how's your weekend been?'' I question, trying not to touch his hand. ''Pretty good! I went to Vegas with my family for a weekend. It was so fascinating and...'' He continues to talk, but I just keep getting lost in his beautiful green eyes. ''Tom? Are you listening?'' Liam seems confused by my zoning out. ''Yeah sorry, keep talking.'' Jay gives me a soft smile. ''its fine, but Tom shouldn't we be going? We have chemistry in like..'' he checks his phone. ''3 minutes.'' I nod and take his wrist. ''See you at lunch, Liam!'' we run to the men's bathroom, and I grab his waist as soon as we enter. ''Hello, baby!'' Jay starts to giggle, which makes my heart flutter. ''Hello, my love.'' He puts his arms around my neck; our lips are in inches away from each other. ''Kiss?'' I ask, but before I know it, his lips are placed on mine. The stench of the men's bathroom makes it less romantic as it is, but it's not that bad. ''Always.'' Jay answers while he breaks the kiss. I give him a soft smile before the bell rings. ''We should get to chemistry before Mr. Brown gets angry.'' Jay gives me pleading eyes before we go. ''Just one, more kiss?'' I scoff and roll my eyes before I give him one on the head. '''There now come! Mr. Brown will get mad!'' we both walk to chemistry where Mr. Brown is putting on his lab coat. ''Welcome boys, you guys are early for once!'' we both start laughing. ''We're always on time sir, what do you mean?'' I sit down and throw my bag under the table. ''In your dreams, you are Tom!'' I glance over my shoulder while I watch how Michelle sits down. She looks worse than normally. Is there something wrong with her? We've never been close; actually, I don't even know if she knows who I am. I only know her name and age since Liam won't shut up about her. Her eyes are puffy; she is wearing ripped clothes, which usually aren't ripped and dirty converse. There has to be something wrong. ''Alright! Let's start the lesson!'' Mr. Brown shouts so he gets everyone's attention. Lunch rolls around, and Liam is chatting with Nikky at the end of the canteen. ''Hey Tom!'' She cheerily shouts while I sit down with Jay. ''Sup Nikky.'' I answer back. ''Did you know there's a rumor going around that 2 boys were making out last Friday during P.E.'' I raise a brow and quickly take a glance at Jay, who stopped eating and just staring at Nikky's food. ''2 boys in our P.E class?'' I ask while I take a big bite out of my burger. She nods and looks at Liam. ''You saw them, right?'' Liam shakes his head. ''Kind of, I only saw their legs. I could tell they were guys."I nod slowly, and so does Jay. ''Guess it will be a mystery who they are?'' We all nod and stay silent for a bit, letting the loud conversations of other people entertain us. ''Does anyone know what's up with Mich-'' Liam questions. ''Shut up about her Liam!'' Us three shout back at him. ''Okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.'' He continues eating his burger looking around the canteen if he can spot Michelle. When the last bell rings, meaning my school day is over, I rush to my locker to meet Jay. He's on his phone minding his business. He wouldn't notice if I scared him, right? ''BOO!'' I shout while placing both my hands on his shoulders. '"JESUS CHRIST TOM!'' He shouts. I start to laugh at his reaction while I grab my jacket out of my locker. ''Come, my mom is waiting for us.''
