'What are they talking about?' Cale thought. He had been listening in on conversations outside the room using his wind elements. Currently, Cale was eavesdropping on the conversation right next door, between Roxana and a man who seemed to be her "brother," Deon.

Whoosh.

The lady quickly opened and closed the door as she entered. Standing there as if she was stopping anyone from coming in or out.

This shocked the residents of that very room.

"What's wrong now?" Cale asked.

Roxana didn't reply.

"Hello?" Cale asked again. 'Did something happen outside there?'

Her breathing was uneven.

"H-huh?!" Her head immediately lifted up as Cassis reached out his hand towards her. Roxana quickly regained her composure.

"Are you okay?" Cassis asked.

"What?.."

"You're bleeding."

Roxana looked down to her left arm, the bandage was messed up and blood soaked it completely. "Ah.. the wound reopened."

"Why don't I reapply the bandage?" Cassis suggested, walking over to grab the supplies.

"N-no, it's fine." Roxana rejected.

"Just do it, it'll get worse if it isn't treated right away." Cale said, leaning his back against the wall.

"Alright.. thanks..." She walked over to where Cassis was and sat down on the edge of the bed.

Cassis cleaned the wound, then started to wrap the bandage around her arm. "There, that should do for now." He finished quickly.

"Thank you—

Knock knock.

The sound came from the door.

Roxana's head turned to the door in an instant, something wasn't right. Horror was vividly expressed in her face. Was something out there? Something she didn't want in? Was that the reason she unknowingly entered this room?

Cale looked at Roxana, then to the door. "Is it the servants? Should I check?"

There was a small peephole on the door, for the two to look outside. It was never really used, since only Roxana and a couple of servants who were acting on orders ever lurked near.

"No!" Her voice trembled but stayed strong. "Don't let them in, don't let them see anything!"

Knock knock!

It grew louder.

Why were they so desperate? Should they answer?

Cale looked at Cassis, looking for a signal to take act.

Cassis didn't know what to do either, the only other people who would come were Roxana and the maids. But Roxana was here with them, and the maids weren't the type to knock so rudely like that.

Cale was about to reach out for the door, but before he did so, he heard a voice on the other side.

"Roxana. How long are you going to keep me waiting?"
