Conan's POV:

"That girl at the coffee shop seemed really nice, it's a shame she was in that bad situation." I said through the phone to Ashley.

"I wonder if she knew who you were?" Ash said, eyeing me suspiciously.

"I don't think so. I mean she walked up to me and asked me to cover for her and then bought me coffee. She didn't ask for an autograph or anything." I said, shrugging.

"I guess." Ash said.

I wondered if she did know who I was. But also I didn't know who she was. So the odds are even.

"How was your day besides that coffee shop thing?" Ash asked. I laughed.

"Well I got a plant. Her name is Maggie. She's a Chinese Money Plant." I said.

"You think of your plants as your children." Ash laughed.

"THEY ARE MY CHILDREN!" I yelled.

I went to make some coffee for breakfast. As the coffee was being made, I sat down and asked Ashley something.

"Hey Ash? I've had a few song ideas. They aren't like my others. They are kind of New Wave, but I think I have the voice for them. Should I show you them?" I asked, grabbing my guitar.

"Of course! This seems interesting." She said, excitedly.

I started to strum as the words came to me.

Well in this lifetime, we did it wrong.
But I guess that you could argue, we survived.
And after all this time, I wonder why you're still with me.
Well, at least in all my memories.

"That's all I have so far. I think it has potential." I said, smiling and putting my guitar down.

"THAT WAS SO GOOD!!!! IT WAS ALMOST SEXY BUT LIKE IN A SAD NEW WAVE WAY." Ash said laughing.

"That was kinda what I was going for." I said, truthfully.

"MAKE A NEW WAVE ALBUM. PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOUUUUUU." Ash pleaded.

"I might actually have to." I said, standing up to get my coffee.

I put it in a glass with ice, and the tiniest splash of creamer in it. Just to give it that marbled effect.

I sat back down and noticed a text. From an unknown number. I picked my phone up and read the text.

XXX-XXX-XXXX

'Hey it's y/n from the coffee shop. I was just checking in on you because you didn't text me.'

"I completely forgot about y/n. I didn't text her." I said to Ash.

"What did she text you?" Ash asked.

I repeated the text to Ash and she smirked.

"She likes you. If she didn't like you she wouldn't have let you know she cared about you. She would have said: 'Hey it's y/n from the coffee shop.' and left it at that." Ash said.

I scoffed.

"She hasn't even known me for a day. How could she possibly like me?" I said.

"Don't underestimate the power of a girls feelings. We catch them for someone very quickly." Ash said seriously.
