THE PAIR MADE THEIR WAY TO THE STRAWBERRY FIELDS, and Annabeth was going on about needing to talk to Y/N and that Piper had nothing to worry about when it came to her. Piper didn't doubt it, honestly.

"She's sweet," Annabeth told her, "just quiet and reserved, don't expect her to smile."
That made Piper feel better, for sure.
Once they got there, there was a girl lying in the strawberry fields, sprawled out like a starfish, butterflies of all colors were flying around her. That was a sight, Piper thought.
As they got closer, Piper noticed how peaceful the girl looked, her eyes were closed, she looked like a gentle spirit.

"Y/N?" Annabeth said.

The girl sat up, her long H/C hair falling down her back, the ends still touching the ground. She turned her head around and looked at Annabeth, and then Piper.

"Annabeth."

Annabeth was right. The girl was awfully quiet, but her voice was sweet, and calming.

"You were right," Annabeth looked like she was about to cry. She didn't know why, but Piper half expected Y/N to show arrogance, saying something along the lines of 'Ha! I'm always right' or 'well maybe if you would've listened you wouldn't be in this situation'.

But she didn't. Instead, the H/C girl gave Annabeth a sympathetic look, patted the ground next to her, and said "C'mon, sit. Both of you."

Piper didn't notice before, but the girl wasn't wearing an orange T-shirt like the rest of the campers, but wore a sage green spaghetti strap tank top, the straps were lacy, and a long white flowy skirt. Piper assumed it would've been just at her ankles if she was standing up. She wasn't wearing shoes, but her toenails were painted white, as well. She wore jewelry, an ankle bracelet, it looked almost like vines, with little flowers all along it, quite a bit of green bracelets, her ears were pierced all over, wearing all sorts of green earrings, she had three or four necklaces, not including her Camp Half-Blood necklace, she noticed everyone was wearing a camp necklace. Most of her necklaces were beaded, two green ones, a pale blue one, and a tan one, though, the last necklace was silver. She had two rings on, one on her right ring finger, it looked like it twisted, almost like an ADHD ring, she wondered if that was what it was. She wore one ring on her left pointer finger, it was also silver, but the diamond part looked like a diamond flower, almost like the one from the movie 'Tangled'.
If piper was being honest, this Y/N girl looked like a hippie, but she liked it, she thought it suited her. She gave off an aura that Piper felt would make anyone want to bow down to her, but she'd tell them to stand up. Though she wondered why Y/N wasn't wearing the attire everyone else was.

"I like your ring," Piper told her, she was sitting on Y/N's left, Annabeth on Y/N's right. Piper was referring to the flower one.

"You must be Piper." Y/N said.

"How'd you know?"

Annabeth cut in, "Y/N knows everything."
Piper laughed.

Y/N continued to look out into the horizon, Piper suddenly realized Annabeth wasn't joking. Oh no.

"Would you like to try it on?" Y/N asked.
Piper didn't know why, but she nodded her head. Y/N took her ring off with ease. She took Piper's hand, and slid it on.

"Wow." Piper was amazed, she felt...
"It was a gift from my mother, it's supposed to make whoever wears it feel confident in what they're doing, when it comes to anything. It's made to fit anyone." Y/N told her.

"Who's your mom?" Piper asked.

"Persephone." She said. "The goddess of spring, queen of the underworld."

"She's also the daughter of Hades." Annabeth told her.
"Actually?" Piper was godsmacked.

Y/N nodded. "I don't consider him my father, though,"

"Why?"

Y/N stayed silent.

"Do you think we'll find him?" Annabeth asked.

"I know so." Y/N stood up. Her wavy hair went past her butt, but not too far down her thighs, it was thick and beautiful. She put out both her hands to each girl. "We've got a tour to do."

While walking, Piper soon realized Annabeth's heart wasn't in the tour. She talked about all this amazing stuff the camp offered—magic archery, pegasus riding, the lava wall, fighting monsters —but she showed no excitement, as if her mind were elsewhere. Y/N kept looking at her as if she'd was glass about to shatter. She pointed out the open-air dining pavilion that overlooked Long Island Sound. (Yes, Long Island, New York; they'd traveled that far on the chariot.) Annabeth explained how Camp Half-Blood was mostly a summer camp, but some kids stayed here year-round, and they'd added so many campers it was always crowded now, even in winter.
