A'Riauna's heart was overflowing with joy, for she was finally about to become A'Riauna Brock - the woman she had always dreamed of being. Her face beamed with a bright smile as she swept the floors of their new house, relishing in the thought of the bright future that lay ahead of her. Even though it had been two weeks since Colby had proposed to her, the ring on her finger still made her feel like the luckiest woman in the world.

Suddenly, Colby interrupted her thoughts by grabbing a black bag. "Where are you going? It's 8 pm..." she says, curious as to where he was headed this late. "Nowhere as fun as you'd hope," he teased, flashing her a smile. A'Riauna tilted her head in confusion. "So you're just gonna leave, no hug?" she pouted.

But Colby knew better than to forget such an important ritual. He walked up to A'Riauna, held her waist, and kissed her deeply on the lips, then on her cheek. "Okay," he said, backing up towards the door and grabbing his keys off the hook. "Bye, I love you." As A'Riauna replied to the "love you too" A kiss and a wave. Colby couldn't help but feel grateful for the love of his life.

Soon, Colby walks out of the door leaving A'Riauna home alone.

A'Riauna Almost finishes cleaning around the whole house, she had the bedroom left. Just a few of Colby's clothes and shoes lay on the ground. A'Riauna sighed as she picked them up and put them in the clothes barrel and the shoes in the closet. Afterward, she notices a black cord poking from under the bed. She squinted her eyes for a moment. For some reason, Colby had this habit of throwing things under the bed. He had stopped for a while, but he still does it. A'Riauna gets on her knees and reaches under the bed. Strange.. the cord seemingly backed up. Maybe she pushed it farther? completely focused on trying to grab the cord from under the bed, A'Riauna gets startled when she feels a hand on her waist and something pressing on her butt.

She quickly jumped and hit her head under the bed. Quickly pulling her upper body from under the bed she looks and sighs in relief, it was only Colby. "You scared the shit outta me." Colby smiled, "I scared you? I thought this was propped up for me." He laughed. A'Riauna rolled her eyes at his inappropriate joke. "Anyway, what were you doing under the bed?" A'Riauna stood up and brushed off her knees. "I saw a cord under the bed. Why'd you put it under there?" Colby gave a confused look. "I don't put any of my cords under the bed."

A'Riauna's eyebrows jolted, then why was the cord under there? She gave Colby a look and he smiled. "Okay, okay. I'll look." Colby crouched onto one knee and looked at A'Riauna. "A'Riauna, I need a flashlight." She reached into his back pocket and grabbed his phone, turning on the flashlight, before handing it to him. He looks under the bed with the flashlight. Silence followed. A'Riauna bit her bottom lip, scared of the anticipation. "There's a..." Colby muttered. His voice sounded somewhat shocked. "There's what? What is it? Stop, you're making me scared!" A'Riauna shakes her hands. "Is it a rat?!" She only thought of the humanly worst things. However, it would explain why the cord kept getting pulled back.

"There's a penny back here." Colby comes from under the bed holding a penny. He smirked. He knew A'Riauna hated things like this as much as he loved supernatural things. A'Riauna's face went pale. What was pulling the cord.. no, was there a cord? Was she hallucinating or was it something else?
Colby noticed her disturbance and stood up. A'Riauna had a bad past with spirits and stuff like this was like her reliving her trauma. To try and put her at ease Colby opened his mouth, "If you're still uncomfortable we can move to the other bedroom" He said as he cupped her face. "Babe?" He questioned, but he didn't get an answer. A'Riauna stood frozen at the thought of there being a spirit in the house. She wanted to move immediately.

She stared at Colby, his face started to morph into a sinister smile as he was talking. His mouth was moving, yet she heard not a word he was saying. "Babe?!" he shouted, finally snapping her out of it. She blinked and stared into Colby's eyes. "Maybe I'm just freaking out" She sighed and reassured herself. "Do you want us to move into another room if you're uncomfortable? We can take the 3rd guest room.." A'Riauna shakes her head, no. "no.. I'm fine"

Hours later at 2 am, A'Riauna wakes up out of her sleep. She stares at the ceiling as Colby holds onto her fast asleep. "Lord.." She moved his arm to get up and use the bathroom but tripped as she stood up. Something was on the floor, particularly peaking from under the side of the bed. She reached down to grab it. It felt familiar in her hands. The handle... Felt relatively familiar. Like the type she uses daily. Like the cooking knife, she used... that went missing not too long ago. A'Riauna grabbed the item and felt the top of the item, almost wincing in pain. It was sharp. What she was holding was a kitchen knife. But why was it under their bed?

She held the knife tight and walked to the bathroom. She flipped the switch and nothing. There was nothing in her hand. But she still felt the item there. "Maybe I'm too sleepy.." She said before, using the bathroom, washing her hands, turning the light back off, and walking back to bed. After a few moments, she noticed that Colby wasn't in bed. She sees a light peaking through their Crack bedroom door. Walking out of the room she steps into the kitchen. Her blood boils and her heart drops as she sees blood drops and smears on the kitchen floor. The blood drops got larger and larger and she finally saw the cause. Colby. His body lay on the ground, his mouth was ripped off along with his neck. She covered her mouth in fear. Did someone break in?

Suddenly she felt someone grab her shoulders from behind. "Ahh!" She screamed as she threw a punch. "Ow- What the fuck?" Colby shouted as he held his nose. A'Riaunas eyes widened as she heard his voice. She opened her tightly shut eyes and saw Colby standing in front of her perfectly fine. She was in the kitchen. She turned around and looked on the floor. The body she once saw was gone.

Was she starting to go crazy and hallucinate or was something playing with her mind?
