Chapter 2❤

Colin's POV

I watched Emma's face light up as we looked over the bridge at the water. It was a beautiful night, the sunset was perfect, we are in an absolutely wonderful place, and I have the best person ever by my side. I twist the little black box around in my hand in the pocket of my leather jacket as I watch her look under the bridge at the fish and sparkling blue water.
"It's so beautiful!" I hear her say and I walk over to her and take her hand.
"That's not all of it swan, there's plenty more to come."
I lead her to the bigger surprise, hoping tonight will be perfect. We walk a short distance and come to a rather large field full of grass and wildflowers.
"Stay here I'll be right back" I kiss her on the cheek and walk behind a tree off in the distance.

Emma's POV

We walk a little ways and eventually come to a big open field with a breathtaking view of the sky and little wildflowers. Killian said he would be back in a second and be kissed me on the cheek. He's so sweet.
About a minute later after I caught a few fireflies he came back with a picnic basket and a nice sized quilt.
"Killian its so beautiful here!"
"See I know how to plan a date!"
"I don't pilage and plunder on the 29th date either you know?"
"Well I guess we'll have to wait and see!" He answers. We lay the quilt down down under a small willow tree. It's actually a very beautiful willow tree with white flowers inclusive of major pink details. He takes onion rings and a box of different meats and cheeses out of the basket and lays it all out on a big plate. I dig in and then lay on my back and watch the sun fall under the horizon. He scoots over next to me and lays on his back right beside me and grabs my hand. He holds it pretty tight so I let go and turn on my side so I'm facing him. "Why are you acting so odd Killian? You're not yourself tonight."
"Nothing love I'm fine!" he says and turns so he's facing me as well.
"No tell me I know something is up" I say with a little force so he won't ignore me this time.
"I just hope tonight is perfect" I give him a look then I caress his face in my hand.
"It's perfect" I say, and I bring his face closer to mine and kiss his nose and stare into his ocean blue eyes. "You're perfect" I hear him say, but I can't help but to smile. I see him mess with something in his pocket but I just let it be and lay back and count how many bats I see fly by.
"Swan can I ask you something?"
"Sure baby what is it?"
"I uhhh... I just wanted to let you know that you are an amazing person and I am in love with you. You make my day brighter and you brought me out of darkness. I love you my swan and I hope tonight was amazing!" He stands up and I sit up and sit with my legs crossed. "Will... You..."

Colin's POV

I get very anxious so I just go ahead and go on with it. I am going to ask Emma swan to marry me. I stand up and just as I am about to finally say it, water pours from the sky.
"Seriously!" I hear her scream. "This was brand new! I hate the rain!"
I quickly put the ring back in my pocket and grab her hand and the quilt taking her under a thick tree for us to hide and wait out the rain, but we decide to make a run back towards the car and drive back home. Tonight was ruined...

Short but its something... This actually took me a few hours to write and Idek y because it seems so simple. But to make it perfect and the way I like it, it takes a little while. But ya... Here's another chapter! I'm going to try and update tomorrow but there's a chance I might not get too.
