Jeon Jungkook, the CEO, was a man who was rugged countenance, that was no more lighted by a smile; cold, austere;and yet somehow lovable.
"Ms Park, I want you to come up with the script by the end of tomorrow evening." Jungkook spoke, voice screaming authority.
"We'll try our best, sir." The lady said and left before bowing a little.
"Appa!" A little, nearly around the age of four, ran towards Jungkook, who picked her up with a smile. A smile wasn't rarely seen and that too only because of the little girl he had in his arms.
"What my little devil did today?" Jungkook asked while bopping the little girl's n, se who scrunched her nose up in a cute manner.
"Went to kidnapper!" She chirped in a loud voice, making Jungkook's eyes widen, but soon he chuckled ashookked his head with a smile on his face.
"It's kindergarten, baby." Jungkook corrected her, and she pressed her lips in a thin line before nodding.
Soon, someone entered Jungkook's office, and Jungkook's smile was replaced with his cold expressions.
"Jeon, I'm going home....not feeling well. I'll drop Lia home." The man said and girl's eyes lit.
"Yoongi hyung!! Let's ghooo!" The girl struggled in her father's arm before finally escaping from them and running towards the man named Yoongi.
"She surely finds you comforting after me." Jungkook said, voice emotionless.
"Lia, wait outside. I've something to discuss very important to your appa,ok?" Yoongi said, and the little girl obediently nodded.
"Not with that topic again, please." Jungkook sighed and sat down on his chair while massaging his forehead, making painful expressions.
"Why not? You're suffering all alone , Jungkook. I can't see you like this. I can't see my childhood friend like this." Yoongi said while walking behind Jungkook and massaging his forehead, and Jungkook hummed in relief.
"Even if this is the 21st century, that doesn't change the fact we're werewolves. We surely don't have fated mates now but we need one,you know that." Yoongi spoke, and Jungkook just listened to him while closing his eyes.
"Who you think will marry you after 27 and knowing that you've a daughter?" Yoongi spoke, himself not feeling well.
Even if it was the 21st century but werewolves were supposed to find a suitable mate for themselves and get married before the age of 23. Call it backward in sentiments or whatever.
Fated mates was no longer a concept. Anyone can find any person whom they love and claim them as their mates.
Love was important, and because of the fated mates' concept ,many had to leave their first love, so the moon goddess stopped creating a fated one for another.
"I don't need anyone, hyung. I can raise my daughter by myself." Jungkook mumbled and noticed Yoongi 's warm hands.
"That's what you think, not your parents nor any of us!" Yoongi shouted and soon felt drowsy.
"Hyung....go home and take rest. You're unwell." Jungkook spoke, removing Yoongi's hand from his forehead.
"Jungkook, find yourself one before your parents force you to marry someone else." Yoongi spoke.
"You know very well that you'll never disobey your parents. I don't get it why you listen to their every bullshit--" Yoongi paused when he noticed Jungkook's glare.
"I got it! They're your parents but sometimes you need to make your own decision too!" Yoongi said .
"You were always interested in music but ditched it and went for business just because your parents said so." Yoongi rolled his eyes.
Don't misunderstand him. The much he loved Jungkook, the more he loathed his parents. They just wanted Jungkook to act like an obedient kid, never caring about his happiness.
"I didn't listen to them once and got married to the girl whom I thought of as the most loyal person, hyung. Look where I'm today. Lia doesn't have a mother because of my mistake." Jungkook spoke.
"Stop blaming yourself, Jungkook! If your parents hadn't forced you to find a mate quickly, then maybe you've never made that mistake." Yoongi spoke.
"And after the marriage, both of you were kids....not ready for kids. It was again your parents who wanted to have a so-called grandchild." Yoongi said in a mocking tone.
"Hyung! Past doesn't matter. I love Lia so much, and I can raise her all alone. I don't care what others think. And this time,I'm not marrying or even loving anyone." Jungkook angrily spoke and got up from the chair, grabbing his suit.
"Come,I'll drop you." Jungkook said, and Yoongi sighed. He was tired of explaining Jungkook. He just wanted his best friend to be happy.
Yoongi could see how much Jungkook longed for someone, but he was just stubborn to accept that.
"Lia!?" Jungkook shouted Lia's name, but the little girl was nowhere to be found.
Yoongi quickly ran outside when he heard Jungkook screaming Lia's name.
"Fuck! Yoongi, check the cameras......check where Lia went to!" Jungkook said and forgetting his dizziness, Yoongi nodded.
Jungkook was losing his shit as time passed by because Lia was nowhere to be found. Jungkook ran out of the building and started searching for Lia in every corner of the street like a maniac.
"Fuck fuck.... Lia....be okay." Jungkook mumbled, heart racing too fast.
