"Do you remember which path you took?" Taehyung asked, and the little girl shooked her head, too much engrossed in eating ice cream.
Taehyung let out a defeated sigh, and as he was going to sit on the bench, he saw two bulky men dressed in all black marching towards him.
At first, Taehyung thought that maybe they were going to pass by him, but he found himself wrong when they snatched the little girl from him and grabbed his wrist, twisting it back painfully.
"Ah! Leave me! Leave that girl! Who are you!" Taehyung shouted, and that's when Jungkook appeared in the frame. Sweat dripping down from his forehead because of running like a maniac; coldness and fury all over his face.
Taehyung saw how the girl betrayed him and ran into the arms of the guy standing in front of him. He saw how the man kissed her on the forehead and said something to her at which she nodded.
"How dare you to kidnap my daughter?" Jungkook spoke in a deadly manner as he walked towards Taehyung, who was left amused at the allegations.
"Excuse me? I didn't kidnap her! I found her in a convenience store, crying and asking to find her father." Taehyung quickly defended himself.
"What a lame excuse. Give it in the courtroom because I'm not buying it." Jungkook said at which Taehyung scoffed, pained expression all over his face as the guards still had twisted his hands.
"Leave." Jungkook commanded his guards when he noticed that, and they quickly obeyed. Taehyung rubbed his arms and caressed his wrists.
"I'm not a salesman who's selling you excuses here, so you're not buying it. I'm a man with dignity, and all I'm telling you is the truth." Taehyung said, eyes fiercely locked with Jungkook's.
Taehyung might be a scaredy cat, but he knew how to defend himself. He wished only if he could talk like this to Sam.
"Ask her if you don't believe me!" Taehyung said, and Jungkook turned his head towards Lia, who was busy licking ice cream off her little hands.
"Lia baby, why you were with this uncle?" Jungkook asked Lia and soon heard an offended scoff behind him.
"Uncle? You look like you're in your forties, but hell, I'm not. I'm a young man in his early twenties, so don't misinform her." Taehyung said, tone offended.
"Uwncle bought me ice cream and helped me to find appaa.." Lia spoke, grinning widely when she saw Taehyung's pissed off expressions.
"Like father like daughter. Listen here, you cute little girl, call me uncle one more time, and I'll leave you in that convenience store again!" Taehyung shouted, and Lia pouted like she was going to cry.
Jungkook quickly glared at him, and Taehyung felt bad too for talking like that to a little girl.
"Okay, okay.... sorry, Lia. I won't leave you there." Taehyung said, walking towards Lia and crouching down. Jungkook just glared at the boy ,being cautious.
"No, leave Lia alone....Lia is scared." Lia spoke, lips wobbling as eyes threatening tears to falls.
"Ok.... oppa is sorry..." Taehyung said, and the girl quickly smiled, stretching Taehyung's cheeks.
"Uwncle is forgiven!" Lia smiled.
"Don't call me uncle, please. I give you the privilege to call me oppa." Taehyung offered.
"You are pretty! Eomma!" Kia jumped on her feets and Taehyung shooked his head. Meanwhile, Jungkook stood frozen.
Jungkook never saw Lia getting this close to any stranger in just a few hours. She even had trouble getting along with Yoongi at first.
"Your real eomma won't like that." Taehyung said, gritting his teeth. He was annoyed but couldn't help because the girl in front of him was hella adorable.
Jungkook coughed when he realised that the conversation was going out of his hands.
He quickly picked Lia up, and Taehyung saw her rising up as his father picked her up. Taehyung looked like a stray dog, and a piece of bread just got stolen from him.
"Everything is clear. I misunderstood you. You can go." Jungkook spoke, voice ice cold as usual.
Taehyung got up and faced the alpha .
"A little sorry and thank you won't hurt." Taehyung said .
"Yea,it won't. Go ahead and say it." Jungkook said, and Taehyung couldn't believe the man . He scoffed as he rolled his eyes.
That's when Jungkook noticed the fingerprints over Taehyung's cheeks. They were left there as a bruise, which was red for now, and Taehyung seemed to notice that all.
Taehyung facade of bravery soon broke as he took a hesitant step back.
"I'll take my leave. Bye, Lia." Taehyung said .
"Wait..." Jungkook said and took out his wallet.
"I don't need your money if that's what you're giving to me. As a responsible citizen,I just helped my kid. There is no need to rub your money over my face." Taehyung gritted his teeth, hating the fact that the man before him was rich. He hated rich people because of his husband.
He surely loved Sam at starting, but the day he proposed the marriage proposal in front of his parents and offered them a large amount of money,he lost it all. His parents literally sold him for some money. That's how Taehyung felt about that situation.
"I know that, and I'm not giving you money either for doing the bare minimum." Jungkook spoke and pulled out his business card.
"Here. It's my business card,I surely owe you, so feel free to ask for any kind of help." Jungkook said, handing the business card to Taehyung.
Eyeing the beautiful face of Taehyung and the bruise over his cheeks one last time, Jungkook left towards his car with Lia and those two guards .
Meanwhile, Taehyung was dumbfounded.
"Fuck.....did I just embarassed myself." Taehyung mumbled , shoving down the the card in his pocket he picked up the groceries from the bench and head down to his house in the midst of the forest.
