Chapter 5: Prepareness

As promised, here is chapter 5 a bit earlier than usual (the being before or on Wednesday😂)

As Lloyd approached the palace courtyard, he remembered about his night with Harumi. The joy, the warmth of her touch, the feeling similar to adrenaline pumping through his body, and not to forget that he was finally in the gang, but all he needed was a a bike to be part of the bike gang. While he thought about it, the earth ninja jumped from behind him, put his arm around Lloyd's neck, and whispered in his ear "did i tell you that i have something going on seliel?". Hearing this, Lloyd was pulled back to reality and not hearing what cole said, he simply responded with "thats good for you" in a disinterested and bored tone.

Cole, then noticing that Lloyd was fine with it, knowing damn well that he actually wants them all to find an elemental master to date, quickly called him out and said "never knew you were good with me dating a normi Lloyd, you really have changed and matured you green dick" and then had a soft laugh to back up his joke". But cole didn't know that he had changed, and it was not for the best interest of the team, with him joining the SOG, to sleeping with the princess, to straight up wanting to kill the ninja, this conversation was dangerous to keep up as he was exposing secrets that could be used to blackmail him. Lloyd, now knowing this, lied to his face and said "yea, i do believe that you and Seliel will be happy together, and i will organize the wedding for you both" adding some sarcasm to the end.

Once they arrived at the courtyard, they got into groups of 2 to spar. The groups were Jay and Nya, Cole and Zane, and lastly, Kai and Lloyd had to spar each other. Lloyd remembered what the plan was, and he would have to hold back his anger and hate for him in order to bot kill him before the plan was even in place. As they were sparing, Nya got the idea to ask Lloyd "where were you last night by the way Lloyd, i didn't see you around the palace or the courtyard". Lloyd then looked at kai, who was giving him a smug look, a look that fit his cockiness and reckless action, then back to Nya and said "i was just patrolling out in the city, i needed fresh air after everything, sorry for not telling all of you". He lied, something that he had done a lot lately, but the ninja believes him, because they thought he was still the same little boy from1 year ago, the little boy that didn't know how to lie or sneak away without anyone noticing. But Lloyd had learned to lie, and he had gotten quite good at it. But when he looked back around Kai to continue sparing, he saw him give him a disappointed look, as he wanted the other ninja to know that their little green bean had grown up.

As they kept on sparing, cole asked Lloyd "by the way, where did you leave the bounty after we all split?" "I left it by the docks, since non of us have needed it yet, its just be there collecting dust" he said truthfully. Zane, being the calculating nindroid that he is, made the extremely obvious point by saying "i believe there is a chance that we might need it soon, as th-" "yea no shit sherlock, of course we are going to need it soon, thats our mobile home, we will need it after this whole thing since the monastery still hasn't been repaired" jay interrupted in a sarcastic and partially annoyed voice as he only wanted to focus on his beloved girlfriend while they were sparing.

They continued sparing for a couple more hours before sundown and as they finished, Lloyd entered the palace and headed towards Harumi's room to prepare for the plan. He then found out it was ready when Harumi told him "its time sweetheart, not get ready, your job is to exit the palace with me and the mask to give it to UV". "Who is UV?" Lloyd asked as he still didn't know who was in the gang apart from Luke, Harumi, and the other masked robber. "UV is the grey banshee, you know who when you hear her actually, but get ready, the blast zap should go of at any moment" harumi told him, to in which Lloyd almost yelled "BLAST ZAP?!?!?!", "we have to make a big impression, Lloyd, and plus, it will kill a couple of Guards" harumi told him in a calm voice. This didn't surprise Lloyd as he knew that she had seen death before, as she was a survivor of the Great Devourer, and he knew that he would have to kill the "Good people", but je didn't know that also meant "leave their corpses unrecognizable". "But before the attack happens, do we have time to have a little bit of fun?" Lloyd asked in a flirtatious tone to try and seduce Harumi into making out, but Harumi, being the smart person that she is, caught this and simply said "no Lloyd, but, we do have time for this" was all she said before giving Lloyd a passionate kiss filled with not lust, but love. Before breaking away, Lloyd pulled her in to kiss back, but before it can turn into more than just a kiss, Harumi pulled away and told Lloyd, "its time, now, lets go reck havoc on the palace". Just then, they both felt and heard the blast zap go off, and they now knew it was time to take the Mask of Deception.
