22 BBY, Month 6
The night is always colder than the day. Clones stayed in their gear to conserve any heat they could find. Some clones were in the engine room to secure a good heat source flowing through the outpost. In his white tunic, Sylvain had some armor placed on his shoulders, forearms, and other vital areas. His eyes examined the grey armor that stood out on his body, the way it cried warrior, unlike a peacekeeper who wore jedi robes with no armor.
Sylvain couldn't sleep with the chairman here always having a scowl on his face, yelling, or giving unnecessary orders around. He didn't like the snowstorm suddenly happening. Better sensors they need...
"General," Glancing behind him he watched a clone trooper walk over to him and hand him plans for the outpost. He examined the information and how they required supplies to get the outpost operational. A furnace they needed, weapons to stash in case of any unwanted attack, and essentials were on the datapad.
"Tell Zeke to contact Admiral Vesper to send a ship with the needed supplies." Looking at the supplies they were low on, Sylvain preferred to be prepared rather than underprepared. Anything can happen on this snowy planet.
The soldier nodded, turned around, and departed to locate the commander. Riyo passed by the clone with a soft smile on her face, stopping by Sylvain's side her eyes stared into the abyss of the storm from the outlook.
"One of your troopers is on guard duty?" Her voice was a statement instead of a question. This brought a smile to the Jedi's face thinking of Fate who got stuck babysitting the chairmen. "You're correct," he replied, releasing a cold breath.
"Different viewpoints on both sides," Riyo spoke softly causing the jedi to glance over her way. "Both want to be heard in the war and only one may come on top."
Her voice sent chills down his spine, it was true that either the different set of points on the Republic and Separatists. Both want to achieve the goal best for the people. He never wants to dive into politics or be a part of it.
"What made you want to become a senator?" Sylvain questioned the young female, one for a senator on that topic. Her gold eyes side-glanced in his direction, and her body adjusted."To give a voice to my people and many others across the galaxy. One that can be heard and respected among individuals." He listened to her reply, debating whether to speak his mind on some cues he witnessed throughout the day. "Then why are you so quiet Senator?"
The sudden question caused Riyo to pause her movements, her body tensed and facial features dazed in bafflement. Her gaze darkened ever so slightly in deep thought over the question she was uncertain how to respond. Sylvain knew she may not have an answer for him at the moment and hoped she would think about this.
"When you have your answer, find me and tell me. I am going to speak to the chairmen over some matters." Sylvain spoke calmly, his steps headed over to a set of doors.
