What Ellie wasn't counting on was being forced to apologize to Fiore. But with earful from Connor and Miriam, it was clear that she needed to do so.
She made her through the hall as slowly as possible. She wasn't in the mood to deal with further arguments from Miriam.
She stayed in front of the door for what felt like an hour.
"This is a waste of time." She muttered to herself.
when She was about to knock on the door, she groaned in annoyance. She couldn't do it, so she stopped and turned away.
It wasn't like this was going to be Fiore for long, she'll probably remember them and fuck around with their lives again. There was no way Ellie was going to make that possible for Fiore.
Instead, she returned to her own room. It wasn't like Fiore was going to care if she apologized to her or not. She huffed laying on her bed. The sheets were messy, scattered across her queen sized bed, at least she was sleeping in a comfortable place. That's the only thing she really liked about this.
But now her only chance of winning is if Gabby won.
Which wouldn't be too hard right?
She really missed Gabby, her cheerful nature and giggles. Gosh, she missed her giggles, it always made her feel at ease. She pulled her pillow to her face, and shouted into it. A habit she did often when she could, she didn't want to be mad all the time, but it's like, she didn't have that much money to make it through school.
Not to mention some of the products that were Gabby approved were all natural, vegan, and of course, expensive. She wanted to not have to worry about her student debts, her idea of where she was going to live in the future, and of course supporting her girlfriend wherever she could.
Why couldn't she find a damn totem in time? She would do anything for a chance at winning.
Still lost in her thoughts she didn't hear a knock on the door. She turned her head after removing the pillow from her face.
"Who is it?" She asked, still on her bed.
"Um, it's me....Fiore." The girl spoke on the other side.
Ellie sighed.
"Look, I'm not interested in playing with you, how bout you get lost?"
"Can we talk, please?"
Ellie wasn't sure for a second, she didn't want to deal with Fiore. But she knew she had to at least let the girl just say whatever she'd get rid of her. So filled with reluctance, Ellie got up from her bed and walked over to the door.
She pulled it open with ease.
In front of her was Fiore, holding a piece of paper. She looked up at Ellie with her saddened eyes.
"What do you want?" Ellie asked.
Fiore coughed and handed Ellie the piece of paper.
On the paper it said: 'I'm sincerely sorry for whatever I did."
Ellie kept staring at the paper before she looked back at Fiore with confused eyes.
"What's with this?"
"I-It's my way of apologizing, my grandpa....he...always told me to do it. Even if I didn't know what I did wrong. It's good to do."
Ellie kept looking at Fiore, a little stunned by no sudden emotion changes, nor attempt to push it. She didn't try and question her until a minute later.
