I woke up to my phone alarm ringing right next to my ear. I picked up the phone and stopped it.

6.00am

OMG.. I need more sleep its Sunday. But I have to wake up because this is important day. Wondering what it is! Well, it's a surprise you'll come to know. I somehow got up from my precious bed and start doing my morning routine. You know what I mean!

Hello! Who are you?

Okay, I totally forgot to introduce me. So, my name is Maya, 23 years old, working, single and of course a lesbian. I work in IT company. About my parents, they died in a car accident 2 years ago. They were so caring and sweet and I miss them so fucking much. After my parents, Aditya is everything to me. My elder brother. It's his engagement today.
Fuck, I couldn't even keep a thing to myself for a minute.

Yes. It's Adi's engagement today!!! I'll tell more about it later. So Adi's everything to me after our parents. He is so caring and very responsible person. He's 27 years old and he works in higher position in private sector. He never made me cry. He did everything a parent would do. And-

"Pappa", Adi shouted from outside. 100 years. And yes, only he calls me that.

"Yes", I shouted back.

"Can you come out please", he asked.

" In a minute ", I said. I finished my morning routine and went outside to see him.

7am

"I have to go do my haircut pappa", he said.

"Sure bro. Let's eat breakfast first", I said and he smiled at me. I walked into the kitchen.

" You made breakfast ", I asked surprisingly.

"Yeah. It's just sandwich. The only thing I know" he said raising his hands on air.
I hugged him. I became emotional, tears in my eyes. I know it's just a sandwich but this may be the last time. Because he's going to get married and settle abroad as he gets promoted. I will be all alone but I'm okay with it. I just want him to be happy.

"Hey, it's just a breakfast. Don't cry pappa" he said smiling at me.

"God, I'm gonna miss you. Don't make me miss you already.", I said.

"Alright alright. Don't cry. Not so soon. Okay?", he asked pulling away. I just nodded wiping off my tears.

Then, we had breakfast and he left to do his haircut. I know why he's rushing to go, so that he could see his girlfriend, fiance aka soon-to-be wife, Shalini before the
party. Yes. This is a love-arranged marriage. They were in love for 2 years and her family accepted him without hesitation. So, today is their engagement, Sangeet and Mehendi function. And tomorrow morning they'll get
married. Happily ever.

~Later in the afternoon~

I took a great nap. And Adi came back and he asked me to get ready. We have to be early before our guests right?
I took a long relaxing shower cause this is gonna be a long night for me. Then, I put on my suit that Adi bought for me. This is first time l'm wearing a suit.
