𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 || 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐬

𝟎𝟏. 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭

HADLEY WALKS INSIDE the classroom along with Hanna and Mona, taking their seats in the front rows near the door. Hanna and Mona tell her what happened yesterday at the mall, how they got away with shoplifting. 

Aria looks at them in shock. "Is that Hanna and Hadley?" She glances over at Emily. 

"Hanna's the 'it' girl now. But Hadley is more popular. And when there's Hanna and Hadley, there's Mona." Emily tells her. 

"That's Mona?" Aria questions, even more stunned and surprised. 

Emily looks over at her. "Can you believe it?" 

Aria turns to Emily, letting out a surprised exhale. "Wow, talk about a makeover." She says as she turns back to them, seeing Hanna give her a slight wave. 

Aria awkwardly raises her hand slightly in greeting. 

Hanna slowly turns back to Mona, not even acknowledging Emily. Neither does Hadley. Mona gives Aria a look before turning back to the Marin sisters. 

"What's up with her? Are you two fighting?" Aria turns back to Emily. 

"We didn't just fall out of touch with you, Aria. We all fell out of touch with each other." Emily informs Aria right before Spencer enters the classroom. 

Hadley's face brightens slightly. She stands up, excusing herself, before walking over to Spencer and they share a tight hug. 

"But they didn't. Spencer and Hadley are still the best of friends." Emily adds. 

Aria nods slightly. 

"Hanna and Spencer are not so close anymore." Emily continues. 

"So they're friendly, but not friends." Aria summarizes. 

Emily nods in confirmation. 

When their new English teacher enters the classroom, everyone sits down and goes quiet. The teacher writes his name, Mr. Fitz, on the chalkboard and draws a line under his name. Like he's emphasizing it. He turns around, picking up his coffee mug in his hand and facing the class. He's about to speak, opening his mouth, but freezes as his smile drops when he looks at Aria. 

"Holy crap." Ezra mutters. 

Everyone turns around to look at Aria, hearing their teacher's mutter. Spencer and Hadley share a look before looking at Aria. Aria slowly looks up, her face slowly tensing when she sees the familiar man from last night. They both stare in shock at each other. 

Ezra presses his lips together, huffing slightly. 

Just then, Aria's phone starts buzzing. She quickly pulls it out, turning it off. Everyone turns back around. Hanna smiles slightly to herself in amusement. 

"Sorry." Aria mumbles quietly. 

"Uh..." Ezra trails off, trying to get away from the awkward and tense moment. "I'm Mr. Fitz. Your new English teacher." 

Aria shakes her head slightly before looking down at her phone. 

Unknown ID
